IPL effect is clearly discernible
by vathula on May 03, 2010 07:02 AM  | Hide replies

People who have done well in IPL are doing well in WT20 also.
Example: Dhoni(captaincy), Raina, Mahela Jayawardene, Shane Watson.

People who have not done well in IPL are also doing badly in WT20.
Example: Dilshan, White

People with mixed performance, so far also had mixed performance here.
Example: Albie Morkel, David Warner.

Teams/ Players that have not played in IPL are failing in their strategies.
Example: Pakistan, Bangladesh.

This is clearly a few matches analysis, all the people who played in IPL last year have failed badly in world t20.
IPL is a tamasha

Its al so to do with the wickets. Pitches in WI are closer to what you have in India- like Nagpur, Delhu, Kolkatta....IPL-3 is helping T20WC.
I feel pakistan will be left out...they will struggle a lot

Now it is to be seen what happens to them. 80% of lower & upper players make it.

Mohammed Aamer's 20 th over.
by raman govindan on May 03, 2010 06:56 AM  | Hide replies

very rarely does a team bat so carelessly in the one over to lose 5 wickets. having a substantial runs at their credit, australians had let lose their guard. if he has talents,
Mohammed Aamer will repeat his performance on a favourable circumstances.
