Agreed Afhanisthan have come along way in cricket at short time but to say that the team comprised of citizens of a war torn and ravaged country(as was repeatly made out by the commentators) seems to be far fetched. Far from being long suffered people the team looked fit as a fiddle,better than some of the players of other teams.Perhaps after all criket is a gentlemen's game these players have grown up outside their country.Perhaps outsourced from neighbouring countries.Some of them don't even look like Afghan Cerainly not emacipated and ravaged.I feel politics is being played out here to give an impression that all is honky dory in Afganisthan.

yeah ..that is the truth man..this Indian team one of the weakest in this context.no sachin,no sewag..
india can easily field ten teams of the cailbre of the present Indian team. But being such a BIG county very few get chance..i don't know why india followed the british way and remained as one coutry. should have been small countries like Europe. .shame that such a huge country plays against sri lanka and west indies, small coutries as big as haryana state

If you are an Indian, India does not need you and if you are not an Indian, you have no right to suggest what India could/should/have done!
The T20 matches are fluke and pure luck. these don't really reveal talents. anybatsman can get out for nothing and any bowler can wack sixes. VERY UNPREDICTABLE. so anyone can win any match. Note zimbabwe beat austraia in warm up.

There is a certain amount of talent involved in every format of the game. Zimbabwe defeated Aus and Pakistan because they have been playing this format more than Tests or ODIs.
When India won the 1983 WC everybody cribbed saying that it was a fluke. Then the wins in 1984-85 B&H made everyone say that ODIs are unpredictable and does not mean talent. Since Aussies have started winning, nowadays ODIs have been accepted as authorized instruments to depict expertise in the game.
I am sure the moment Australia starts winning t20, ppl will start saying that they are a great side which is why they are winning, and suddenly T20 will be accepted as acceptable standards to gauge cricketing expertise!
