Sreekuttan is not playing today, damn,at this form that Bhajji is he wouldve definetely beaten up Sreesanth again, they hid him from the lion hearted Sardar and his cunning captain Sachin who will back the sardar anyday anytime...
This is a big anti climax,i was expecting them to face off and Bhajji put the Southie in his place....damn

Absolutely, Dhoni is a biased man on this planet. He couldnot digest the popularity of the pathan brothers... Dhoni should be satisfied as he got so much by luck.

Bradman Lara and Ponting are fine. We can compare them with sachin. But how come Gibbs is placed ahead of sachin. Can u people give any explanation? GIBBS is no way near to Sachin
Re: Re: Re: Top 5 Batsmen in the world

i remember sachin's batting very well in WC final when australia scored 368..and i also remeber Gibb's batting when australia scored 434.. the best bastman always stand up to nation's need not for personal records

What are you trying to say Sameer? Tell us any one important tournament where all nations played and there Sachin stood up to the challenge and won for nation. Come on say it out. Don't get by emotions.. talk.

ahem 175 against Australia when the entire team scrwD up....200 not out (don't say personal record).....why do u want ONLY Sachin to win a game ? isn't cricket a team game ? "Sachin has not brought India a world cup" WTF ! Why shud Sachin bring world cup....Sachin is just a player....the best batsman...but it's a team game....everyone contributes or team scrws up !
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Top 5 Batsmen in the world
by Anthony Raj on Mar 31, 2010 01:06 AM
That is why we say Sachin is not equal to Ponting or VivRichards. Because they just brought world cup their home by their own ability more than team's effort.

You can't blame him if other players in team can't even make 20 runs without Sachin.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Top 5 Batsmen in the world
by abhay bisen on Mar 30, 2010 06:50 PM
but this all nationalism got vanish when Sachin hits 200 , you do remember things good , can you explain how we reached to that WC final , who had scored for India
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Top 5 Batsmen in the world
by Sameer on Mar 30, 2010 06:53 PM
why only world cup final ... even the world cup 1996 semifinals was largely because of sachin.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Top 5 Batsmen in the world

dosnt matter..if some so called greatest player is unable to win a single world cup in 20 years..he deserves no place in the team..even unknown youngsters are beetr than him to win the t20 WC

@ superboss! T20...you think it's cricket? This is just a circus that entertains you for three hours, nothing else. In this T20 Zimbabwe's 10th grade team beat Australia in world cup. Except this circus tournament cup what else have they won without Sachin? If you have the guts give me the answer! Any single tournament they have won without Sachin!

Hey i gotta ask. If you say Sachin is not a champion if he's not won a WC then why is Lara and Gibbs on the list. They've never even gotten to a semifinal.

hahah
bradman - very short test career. no odis, no bowling.
lara - same no odi. no bowling
gilchrisht- lappebaaz.
ponting - no odi, no bowling
gibbs - no test, no odi, no bowling
sachin is greatest in test he is no. 1 in odi he is no. 1 in 20-20 he is playing like the maximum best. he has more than 100 wickets in both tests and odi which lara and ponting bradman and every batsman lacks...

People tend to forget simple facts. Ponting won 3 world cups, but not by himself FOOLS.. it is because McGrath, Warne, Gilchrist, Haydos, Gillespie.. n the list goes on.. Vic Richards won world cups because the then WI teams had Marshal, Holding, Sobers, Ambrose, Walsh... when you compete in a long tournament like the World cup any great is bound to have a bad day.. unfortunately for Tendlya, when he has such a day, there is NONE in the team to stand up and deliver. Coming to 1996, A team that has match fixers, along side Sachin, Bradman, Vic Rochards, Ponting put together.. can only dream of winning a World Cup but can't materialise.. Sad reality was that Sachin is the ONLY abled great in that team...
warne is the only dope banned spinner in cricket history.
he is only bowler who got maxiumum 6s in IPL history. still boasting like anything. IPL 4 will show his real image in which no body will take warne in auction.
he is just worst...a foreign player who is useless in playing 11....0 batting...and lollypop bowling...

by ganessin virappin on Mar 30, 2010 06:40 PM
Mr. Rohit, Dont forget that RR won IPL1 and semi-finalist in IPL2. You cant ask more for a team. Warne is doing good in IPL.

Madan:
Absolutely... He is just worst... He should have taken 12,000 wickets in International cricket and then you MIGHT have conceded that he is fit to start learning about cricket in your excellent cricket coaching academy which has produced all-time greats like Maninder Singh, Narendra Hirwani and the best spinner ever born or ever to come - Lalchand Rajput... eh? :)
