The encounter between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals is a fine example of the contest between two sides who are heading towards the opposite direction.
In the beginning of the IPL 2010 Rajasthan Royals looked like the whipping boys after losing three matches on the trot the low point being the match against Bangalore Royal Challengers while Chennai Super kings looked like a sure semi-finalist contender. Soon things began to take different contours as Rajasthan under Shane Warne regrouped while Chennai Super Kings began to lose their way. Rajasthan began their revival in IPL 2010 with wins over Punjab, Kolkata and Deccan Chargers. Yusuf Pathan remains crucial in the plan but each of their two foreign players - Lumb and Voges - are beginning to pull their weight.
Chennai's descent started with the loss against Kings XI Punjab before things began to get out of control. They lost against the in-form teams of the competition Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians.
In 2008 Rajasthan won all matches between the two teams including the final. In 2009 Chennai beat them easily in both games.
CSK low in all department and they are not mentally belongs to the game. Their morale is low and down and the team selection is stupid as ever, it's never going to change if Raina or Dhoni is Captain. One Failure some good fringe players lose their place but many bad performance by old and tested players keep their place in the eleven. If P Patel and L.Balaji/M.Gony/J.Sharma plays today then god only can save CSK.
