There is no need of giving for kerala , since lot of teams from south india. they should have given one each for ahmedbad or lucknow, since these are big states of india. kerala is small state. how many international playere are there in kearala.

kerala is very very prosperous and great ambience too..
Its good to know that Pune & Kochi entered in IPL at such a big amount. But will this lead or boost the development in these cities, I know one of them is on its way to development but it should increase at still fast rate.
Though I am from Delhi, I have stayed in Pune for 7-8 months and I absolutely loved the city.
I am very happy that Pune got its own IPL team. Pune has a rich history and heritage. I guess now I have one more team to support besides Delhi Daredevils :-)
But I was surprised to see Kochin get an IPL team. There are just too many teams from South India already and now one more state gets its team.
Is this Indian Premier League ? Or South Indian Premier League ? lol

IPL is not a charity business to play the quota game. It is about money, honey. If south has the deep pockets to afford four IPL team, why are the backward northies worried? Stay backwards as you chose, but please don't emigrate like locusts to other parts of the country and spoil the growth there!

hay dude,imagine kochin in indian paisa league.hhaaaaaaaa,kochin has bad history of cricket till now,kerala has produce only two cricketer till now one is i dont know some time before 7 or 8 years and second is sreesanth who also fired by bcci for his aggression whihout any reasons.sssssssoooooooo,how u justify kochin as a frachisee in Indian paisaa league.

it is not the fault of cricket players in kerala that they don't get selected to the national team.Everybody knows how much politics go on in the selection process.

hey dude,how u justify Kochin in IPL as far as only two player from kerala/kochin selected for indian cricket team sreesanth and sombody i dont know his name till now in indian histroy of cricket.so its only minster tharoor who pressurised for wining the bid.

Abhi, Any franchisee can participate, those who quote the highest gets it, it is not dependent on whether they have players or not. If franchisee spends enough money, they can get good players from other states and from abroad. If other states came up with franchisees that quoted above the kochi and pune franchisees they could have got it. That's it.

In IPL ,there is no reservation man.Whoever bids more they can win.Then your happiness doesnt matter.You can bid for fulfilling your happiness.Kerala is the best state in India,and Cochi in finacial capital of Kerala.Cochi deserves it
