The reason kochi does not have an international criket stadium for 2011 is not at all a draw back as the other main city in the Arabian sea coast Dubai has 65% Keralite population and will surely act as an alternative venues for some of the matches till full infrastructure is backed up for full matches in Kochi

Thank you very much to Sashi Tharoor for Kochi was won by a consortium, Rendezvous Sports World Limited in the next IPL for a period of ten years. Therefore Kochin will get more attached, because of this, in future.
So Malayalees will get chance to see the cricket matches in coming years.
I once again thaks for the interest shown by Mr. Tharoor, for the same. Keep it up. Best of Luck.
IPL is too long with single mathch a day atleast 3Matches in a Day on friday, saturday, sunday. and 2Matches daily as summer vaction kids will storm the ground. and 3Matches means Pubs and bar full whole day..

well IPL fever is only about next 2 or 3 years cause over-doss of any things is harmfull always. Its looks good when india at 1,2,3 in ICC ranking when it goes down all blame goes to IPL automatically its wealth is down.So its a good for 2 or 3 years but than starts boring things.well the actual result of IPL will see in T20 WC(which pride for country and not the states) and next years World Cup....so watch it......

well sahara loves money for kind y'r info kabbadi world cup is in this year, but it hasn't any sponsorship till today.so its only about money, cause money hain to honey hain....they are only looking to profit ok like kochin also a new team but u know yst'day match between sreeshant he was drop out and serve a drinks to other member.......
Ticket cost and Players earnings of IPL is nothing if compare to EPL or BPL football team and Players. Ticket cost of the English Premier League or European Premier League or Barkley Premier League is 1500 pound means Rs100000 per ticket. IPL tickets cost is nothing in front of it. EPL players earns US$ 50million - 100 million per year. And IPL Players less then US$ 1 million per year no comparison.

I D I O T... you are forgetting that is Football which more than 100 country plays/watches and follows... whereas on the other hand the other sport is cricket which a handful of countries plays. Hence there is no comaprison, still considering the ratio Cricket lovers are getting much more than what you should get..
