You r right .He is a chicken .Along with the team owner SRK he is good enough to give bytes .Star power does not help to win the games it isn the performance that matters.It is better Sourav understand that .He is a spent force and SRK should stop hyping a less than a mediocre team

This is absolutely good time for Dada to quit else SRK has to axe him the way he did Buchanan last year.... else SRK will sale KKR off...The funniest part is when everobody is hitting (even Lakshman also started hitting), Dada is make a joke in the 22 yard.. He should realize his days are gone.. He can better opt for the post of non-palying captain.

Doesnt matter as long as Dada is there he brings revenue for the team which is more important than performance.

Mr. vsgiri, It is not that Ganguly has fans only in Bengal, he has fans all over India. Talking about Bengalis fighting for Ganguly, do you know that Bengalis even fighted when Sunil Gavaskar dropped Kapil Dev for a test match. After the match Kapil thanked Kolkata fans and Kapil was reinstated for next match. So dont spit venom one of the generous people who always supports any Indian players. Kolkata represents India's emotions.

SRK has faith in Ganguly and that is why Ganguly is playing for KKR. This has nothing to do with what you have written. If SRK wants, he can end Ganguly's contract. KKR is SRK's team. So your point above is completely irrelevant in the current context.

How about SRK not getting Bengali's support in the event of him not endorsing Ganguly? This could also be the reason of him sticking with Ganguly. By supporting Ganguly, SRK gains in two ways. He can easily promote his films in West Bengal. Secondly with respect to IPL, it is always profits no matter how the team performs.

gosh i am so saddened by the people's mentality in this forum..preity zinta, shilpa shetty own a team too n so does srk.. but ppl only comment on srk.. y is it so?? i mean u ppl saying the he sticks to ganguly for 2 reasons to promote his films n to earn profit..y dont u say the same thing for preity n shilpa..ppl in this forum r biased..punjab stabds wont be full if yuvi isnt playing, mumbai wont come to stadium if sachin wont be there..its the sam case with ganguly too..n mind u all the 8 owners of the team are in busines venture n they wud want profit so wats wrong if srk also wants profit??? n there r many games, anything can happen.. just coz of these 2 losses u cant complain..i wonder how many ppl wud turn up to congratulate kkr if they win the next matches

First off, I thought this forum is about KKR and hence I gave my opinion about SRK and Ganguly. I would do the same on anyone in their respective forums.
One thing is that we Indians are sentimental towards our heroes. Every one would agree that Ganguly has past his prime. Truth is that in business sense, SRK played all the right cards this year given the experiences he had last year. My point is that given the stature of Ganguly’s caliber, it would be great if Ganguly could prove his critics wrong and takes one last bite at IPL this year and leave cricket field with a bang. Make no mistake that even if Ganguly fails in this IPL, I don’t intend to suggest that I wish to misplace or undo all his achievements he did for Bengal and India. In fact I would like to assert that Dhoni is now reaping the fruits for which the seeds have been laid by Ganguly.
I have no problems in SRK’s business model as well. It is his team and he has all the rights to persist or not to persist with Ganguly. But there is no wrong in lending my opinion on SRK and Ganguly.

Well said Injun. Moreover IPL is a business. Ganguly is in the team to get more revenue for the team whether he performs or not doesnt matter.

Thanks @Ganessin. However I have to agree with @MeetfireWithFire a little bit. I like SRK but given the shrewd businessman that he is, it is quite possible that he is persisting with Ganguly for KKR revenues as well as the fortune of his films in Bengal. It is quite possible. Just imagine what impact the name KKR would have without Ganguly being in it. Given the fanatics that Bangalis are (I respect the community for their contribution in different fields but they are indeed touchy about their heroes), I think Eded Gardens will not even be half full if Ganguly is dropped or stripped of his captaincy! KKR will not be the same even with the likes of Manoj Tiwari and Wriddhi Saha in the team. KKR thrives on the Ganguly image and SRK is quite smart to realize that.

You are right Injum. Again I want to reiterate that Dada has huge fan following in all over India not only in Bengal. (He may have haters in Bengal also). If SRK want to reach mass Indians he did Ganguly's image. Me not a Bengali will stop watching KKR match if Ganguly is not playing.

What is wrong in expressing opinions? As a matter of fact why is that you have to be qualified to comment any one? This is India dude. What are the qualifications to be become a PM, CM or a MP and a MLA?

MR meetfire or whatever, i am qualified enough to earn my bread and i just do that instead of commenting on others and making regional comments. i have stayed in almost all part of india and know these looser people very much who does that.
