ICL
by Medulla Oblangta on Mar 18, 2010 10:10 PM  | Hide replies

Everybody knows that idea of IPL has been stolen from ICL. Still Rediff calls ICL a circus and hails BCCI. Its ridiculous.

ICL could have been a huge hit had ZEE TV sold the teams to private institutions rather then making it fully n centrally owned frenchise structure. This was the huge mistake and hard to figure smart businessman like Chandra failed to see this..

ICL fail because it was an "oldies association". Only buddhas who wanted some extra money joined it.

seems like Rediff has taken money from Jadeja
by binoy mathew on Mar 18, 2010 09:27 PM  | Hide replies

It seems that Rediff has got some money from Jadeja and bring this issue up and somehow allow him to play in IPL. This should be a lesson for all greedy guys. He should never be allowed to play again for India...He may betray india for money...

The way RR is performing, Jadeja is blessed for not being part of such a looser side.

GREED
by RAJ sharma on Mar 18, 2010 09:14 PM  | Hide replies

how could BCCI expect anything better from Jadeja when he is a by-product of BCCI spun IPL,which is more about greed & money than cricket. Therefore, the punishment meted out to this player of IPL seems so unfair, obviously if he had one of the board guys or Gavaskar for his dad, then Jadeja could have gone scotfree like Rohan or Ambati.

Atleast we have one player who will be fit as a fiddle in the ICC world cup 20-20 after rest of the lot would have been dead tired and injured

No surprise u r supporting one of your own kind--greedy moron.

How dare u call ICL as circus? What is IPL? Just because lots of money involved in IPL, u think it is a better than ICL.
ICL is the trendsetter, unfortunately it could not survive due to dirty game played by BCCI.

As for Jadeja, only a fool will think he did not know about the rules. In fact, he dared to take this step thinking that if caught he would get away with warning only or lesser punishment.
Jadeja is a greedy lad without any doubt, he got what is well deserved punishment. Full stop.

True. Mr.LG. Eventhough I am a great supporter of Jadeja for his all round skills, he deserved the punishment. He is not a child to be ignorant of the rules as there are so many players in the IPL.
As far as ICL is concerned, it was the trendsetter which was punished by BCCI idiots & this author Pandya is a Chamcha who will do anything for money.

I completly agree with you..each player is free to go with the team they want to go and Ambati Rayudu, Rohan Gavaskar did the same thing. But when their contracts are finished with ICL ,BCCI didn;t let them play ofr IPL right away which is too bad on BCCI....and these Ambati Rayudu, Rohan Gavaskar paid for BCCI hate of ICL

Jadeja punished - Natural Justice Violated
by chennailawyer on Mar 18, 2010 07:58 PM  | Hide replies

In Jadeja's case there is a flagarant violation of principles of natural Justice, inasmuch as he was not given ample opportunity to state his side of the case... BCCI, it appears, has acted at the behest of the strong man MODI... It is not fair on the part of BCCI to apply double standards. If BCCI thinks JAdeja has committed some culpable wrong, it should have applied the same yardstick to the franchisee, which enticed him... It should also be noted that the 'pseudo-secularist' who made hues and cries, when some tainted Porkis were rejected outrightly, are keeping MUM in case of Indian Player..

Jadeja punished for not having god father
by Panamalai gopalakrishnan on Mar 18, 2010 07:41 PM

Poor Jadeja he was punished severely because he has no god father in BCCI unlike other players who have either a great father or god father to protect them.Probably he should have approached Naendra Modi which could have helped him.
I am not saying that Jadeja did the right thing but neither BCCI which is a bloated organisation full of windbags and bunch of self righteous individuals who wants to show authority to a Lilliput.

IPL is pur gambling
by bony kumar on Mar 18, 2010 07:37 PM  | Hide replies

IPL is not about cricket but about gambling. lots of money is put on stake. this years winner will be kolkatta knight riders. Every year least favored team wins IPL from nowhere. it shows how much gambling and match fixing is involved.Best teams like Delhi daredevil, mumbai indian , chennai superkings are not going to win IPL title in near future.
