It is rather a loss for RCB than a win for KKR

Make no mistake, I am a great fan of Dada and wish him to go on to win IPL-3.

I am no great fan of either Kumble or RCB, it doesn't really matter for me if they win or lose.

However, there is no denying the fact that from a purely cricketing point of view, the match was rather lost by RCB than won by KKR.

Kumble first got his batting order totally wrong. He should have had the following batting order:

Robin Uthappa
Manish Pandey
Kallis
Dravid
Kohli
Van der Merwe
Sreevats Goswami
Then 8,9,10,11

After failing to fix the batting order, Kumble again committed the Himalayan bluder of not using his best bowler to open the bowling. Especially when defending a small total, the captain needed to keep the morale of his best bowlers high. The opening bowling should have been in the hands of Dale Steyn, followed by Pravin Kumar and then Van der Merwe.

Since Steyn's self respect (ego?) was hurt when he was sidelined, he did a bad job conceding too many runs in his first over!

Hope Kumble is able to realise his mistakes and come good in the remaining matches!
