Yusuf has betrayed hopes and expectations at International level. Fireworks in IPL tamasha do not count.

Sameer, I have nothing to do with a player being Muslim or otherwise. If you read my message carefully, you will know that I have called IPL, a tamasha. I am a fan of cricket being played for national pride and I do not like the version of cricket being played for money.

yuvi is dhobi best friend. Politician dhobi clearly told in past that he will keep yuvi in team irrespective of his continous failure. All useless northy player will continue in team as long as dhobi is capation irrespective of performance. See the likes of RP singh/Nehra/Ishant shrama/amit mishra/raina/kohli/praveen/bhajji/goney etc continiuing in team while so many talented youngter from south zone/West zone waiting for thir turn. Dhobi is the most regional captain ever in history of indian cricket.Just made by media & politics

I agree that Yusuf seems to play well under Warnie's captiancy. He seems to find some sort of extra energy to do well under Warnie.
Yusuf is a fine player and a devastating batter on his day. A spectator's delight, he reminds me a lot of the great and incomparable Sir Vivian Richards, the one and only KING. yUSUF HAS THE same disdain, style of strokeplay and the walk too. Also both chew gum with a vigour. While Sir Viv was a destroyer of all kinds of bowling especially fast, Yusuf needs to show that he can destroy fast men as well.

common gyus he dint win the match for the team..u have so many players in the indian team who cud take u close to victory..u dnt need them..u need someone who r good finishers n win the matches for the team not take them close to victory n then give a heartbreaking loss

If he did not win, at least he tried a hell of a lot. That is what u must admire. He won a lot earlier matches. C'mon give the guy the credit that is due. Yusuf must be sent up the order at 3 down in Indian team to get the result one expects from him. Coming low at No 7 or 8 makes no sense to his kind of talent.

Thoughts, he made a contest out of a one sided match. He brought Rajasthan Royals close to smelling victory... it was truly heartbreaking to watch them lose after getting so close...
Players like ROhit Sharma..n Yusuf pathan Playe well in IPL only may be they dnt have that standard to take this performance at higher level..They both have failed to make ny mark at International level..i remember T20 world cup final where they both failed to win even One match for india..

i dnt think any of these have what it take to get successful at internation level..Even in ths inning Yusuf manage to get only one four on the ball of Malinga..he scored most of his runs on poor bowling attack like of Murtaza,Satish,Maclaren n jayasurya..he cud not scored freely on international bowlers like of Zaheer n Malinga much...way to go from here..to play this kind of knocks @internation level..he,rohit,RP all werer IPL-2 stars but were a BIG dissapointmnet in T20 worldcup 2009
Re: Re: Convert these or get OUT...!!!

Rightly pointed out..Shane Warne please see the attack against which Yousuf is scoring before saying it as the best knock ever seen ...

yess...i wonder if they end up being IPL star n not internation star..what happenend to these players who shows lot of promise at IPL n fails big time wen time to come to fire at international level ??? i think Tiwari n raydu was much better to play well against like of Warne n Tait

Yes rohit, Sharma and Yusuf has been given many opportunities but they failed miserably

u need to nurture players to perform well at the highest level....if u bring a player 5 down with 5 overs to bat and expect him to score everytime then its nt fair......if it was the case, yuvraj cd never hav excelled.........
Re: Convert these or get OUT...!!!
by ASHISH KUMAR on Mar 14, 2010 04:47 PM
So did dhobi failed in all matches of T20 wcup as he could n't strike the ball. But that non performing politician is still continuing as captain. If performance is the only critera, dhobi should have been dropped from T20/Test side long back.

by abceau on Mar 14, 2010 12:40 PM
bcoz dhoni is sending YP at the last moment 6th or 7th down of the game (in a crucial time). but he is comfortable in 3rd 4th or 5th down.....
Re: Re: nice
by savji on Mar 14, 2010 12:54 PM
It does not matter where the player feels comfort to bat at, Good players perform no matter at what order they are sent..
Re: Re: Re: nice
by abceau on Mar 14, 2010 01:02 PM
then why dhoni is not bowling??? and why he is comfort in Wicket Keeper????? ask him to field in the boundary.... dont write without know anything
Re: Re: Re: nice
by Saquib Reza on Mar 14, 2010 01:49 PM
put player like sachin at 7 and his avg will fall down to 30s....man every there needs to be hit and with the highest risk..
Yousuf Pathan is a game changer when it comes to IPL but look at his record for National team..be it T 20 or One dayer, he has hardly done justice to his capablities and presence at national level....
Re: Re: What Waste
by KING VIV on Mar 14, 2010 01:01 PM
Not Dobi (it means washerman) its DHONI.
Yes i agree with u. DhonI sends him too low down the order. Remember in a recent match he came in at 2 or 3 down and scored a quick 37 with some 4 sixes (i think it was ag SA in ODI RECENTLY)
Dhoni needs to learn from Warnie how to use Yusuf.

I wish sachin opt out of this IPL tamasha , to better make him even better candidate for bharat ratna..

have some cricketing sense mann u cannot expect a player to score 50's and hundares in everytime ..if he does that then its a big same for the all opposiiton n bowlers
