Is Ricky Ponting really 35 years old??
by Junior Shelly on Mar 11, 2010 11:14 PM  | Hide replies

Seriously I doubt it. From the manner in which he is fielding and running between the wickets he looks like a boy in his early twenties.
Similarly, Mike Hussey might look older than his age, yet he is fit as a fiddle, still capable of playing for another 10 years...

i agree with the original post. he does not look 35 at all. By the way he is batting and fielding he looks forty plus. His weakness against spin is known and his technical flaw when facing short pitch is also now exposed. He is bhajji's bunny. i think he has few months of internation cricket to announce retirement decently.

Mickey panting is only average player who is panting to maintain his average. Hussey is no different. They will never be considered great. They have never faced any good bowlers.

Biggest joke I have ever heard. The captain who has given his country 2 world cups has never faced good bowlers. What are good bowlers by the way and what about Shane Bond, Daniel Vettori, Alan Donald, Shaun Pollock, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Shoib Akhtar, Chamida Vaas, Muthiah Murlitharan, Curtly Ambrose, Courtney Walsh, Kemar Roach, Anil Kumble, Darren Gough, Heath Streak and many more. I think Ponting have faced almost all of them in his long career.

My Dear Medulla Oblongota,
First I was about to shoot off a retort as to why in your reply you've not named a single indian bowler ? I then realised that Junior Don in his reply has specifically mentioned "GOOD" bowlers !!!

Sorry for the injustice to the nation but Kumble only looks me a genuine good bowler in last one decade. You could include Zaheer also but not Bhajji and I can debate with you on that. :-)

;-).... CD says he is going down in performance....

You are saying he is recently improving in performance...

Yet both of you agree that he is bad.... :)

Curious... :)

Ofcourse but teams like Pakistan and Windies also have no lack of quality players; still their performance is miserable. Reason is they lack quality leadership and team management.

ShivSena was right in opposing Shahrukh khan for IPL
by Sunil on Mar 11, 2010 09:34 PM  | Hide replies

Guys just see how the pakistan cricket players got banned and made to pay 30 lakhs as fine by their own government for playing against the interest of their own country and match fixing. These players are not loyal to their own land. And Mr. ShahRukh Khan was insisting on allowing them to play in IPL by paying crores of rupees to these players.

Now I feel ShivSena was absolutely right in asking Shahrukh khan to apologise for his supporting such unloyal pakistan players.
Also the Congress government shud be kicked for supporting shahrukh khan just to make sure that they get the minority vote.

Dont you all proud Indians feel that ShivSena was absolutely right in this matter also.
Only true Indians will say yes to this and i Guess there are crores of Indians who will agree to my and shivsenas point

what big dumbos "we the public of india are". SRK and BT are sitting over with pegs of Johnie Walker "Blue Label" and having a hearty laugh together, while the former is counting the moolah that has flown-in from a "dud" movie whereas the latter is counting his "kick-backs" for making the "dud" movie into a money spinner.

I feel like proud Indian and I say a BIG NO. I don't know why think Indianism only in opposing Pakistan. Same Shiv Sena talks about discrimination between 2 different communities within same country so it is apparent that they want to do their politics based on discrimination. Sometimes that discrimination could be pertaining to other country, other state, other religion or other case. Sorry but I do not support any such party or opinion.

Listen sunil everyone knows the conduct of porki players regarding match fixing and tampering, also their behavior (except some kids). There should be zero tolerance to such players.

I would use the term consistent than unbeatable. They have developed a very good habit of winning all around across the globe and they are consistent with it. Other teams if try to instill the same habit within themselves they could give the same results too.
