IPL vs ICL
by Kumar Chakraborthy on Mar 10, 2010 11:15 AM

ICL was far better considering only the game part. IPL is better in the case of marketing, viewership etc. The quality of cricket ICL produced was eye catching. Whereas IPL is lagging far behind.Very sad that ICL has been rubbedoff. Kapil was doing a great job. In this yr. IPL Chennai will win it seems. They are very strong on papers & are having the best captain around in the world at present. All the best Chennai.

In India Cricket is a religion and players are considered deities which is why this BCCI, channels taking maximum advantage of.

Does anyone answer the following questions:

Some time back, many political parties were protesting abt Australian players. But now why they are become quiet?

Why Players from Australia and NewZealand who raised security concerns are more than eager to come and play?

In IPL with lot of stakes and stakeholders, there is lot of scope for match fixing. Its like WWF (World Wrestling Federation) where they create artifical match situations just for sensatioanlism. ONE THING IS SURE CRICKET IS DYING.

Do you think no match fixing is taking in IPL?

Don't waste your hard earned money watching IPL matches and subscribing to channels.

Anyway at the end of the day its the public who are going to be cheated. ITS FOR PUBLIC TO DECIDE WHETHER THEY WANT TO CONTINUE GETTING CHEATED

Well Said! You are absolutely correct. All the IPL Matches are fixed. This time around either KKR or Royal challengers would win the cup. That is if Mrs. Nita Ambani has not done a hard bargain yet.

LOL he is not idiot. he is proving others idiot. He is just exploiting indian public's weakness of watching cricket, even third rate cricket. Cricket is not left as cricket but an entertainment soap opera. He is just cashing in like Ms Kapoor did with other serials. If people dont have fanaticism towards cricket , then this wont be hyped so much.

That is what he wanted ....
by Manoj on Mar 09, 2010 09:37 PM

He was aware of the consequences and purposely made such amendments so that Media boycotts IPL broadcasting and viewers are forced to tune in to SET MAX.

This way he got what he wanted and might be very satisfied with it

Professionalization of Cricket is not bad if it becomes profession for too many like in Soccer. Only thing is that it has to mature and become more transparent.
