Garry Sobers was the greatest cricketer of those days. Those days Ckicket matches were not played all round the year as todays. He couldn't get chance to play so many matches as we see these days or he would have created so many records beyond imagination.
Are we discussining who is better. We are being reminded how Sobers was recalled for his sixes that is it.He was the greatest all rounder to grace the game -bats man bowler. Indian players are good let the history judge them.Dont compare the players of different erasWe dont need become india centric .But for the graets adorning the game we will not be talking about them.Sachin is great yuvi is great.but dont have to compare them with any body
YUVRAJ 6X6 ARE BEST BECAUSE THE PLAYERS WHO HAVE DONE EARLIER WERE NOT SUBJECT TO WATCHFUL BY THIRD UMPIRE REFERRAL (WHICH SHOWS CATCHES, RUN OUT ETC FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES), TV REPLAYS IN SLOW MOTION FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES ETC.. ALSO IT WAS A WORLD CUP MATCH AGAINST ENGLAND.
IN THE ABOVE LINES SIR GARY SOBBERS EXPLAINED THAT 'Then I also had certain morals about me. Whenever I hit the ball, and saw the fielder catching it, I used to walk and I never waited for the umpire's decision. And I saw the fielder catching the ball and I started to walk, but then I saw the umpires cross to discuss, and somebody told me to wait. So I then stood out and then the crowd from Swansea started yelling. 'You are not out, go back.' ,
IF TECHNOLOGY OF TODAY WERE AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME WHICH CAN SHOW THE FIELDER CATCHING THE BALL AND FELLING DOWN. I AM NOT DISPUTING IT BUT I CAN SAY THAT IT WAS THE DECISION OF UMPIRES ON CREASE AND THEY CANNOT SEE WHETHER THE PLAYER FELL DOWN WITHIN THE BOUNDRY OR CROSSING THE BOUNDRY. SUCH TYPE OF DATA/PICTURES ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
SO U REALISE THAT YUVI'S 6 X 6 ARE BETTER THAN ANY OTHER SINCE HE WAS PLAYING IN THE WORLD CUP MATCH UNDER WATCHFUL TECHNOLOGY AND ALSO IT WAS AGAINST A STRONG REGULAR CRICKET PLAYING COUNTRY

Regarding 6 sixes I will rate in following order: 1.Y.Singh - Because hitting 6 sixes on a fast bowler who bowls at 145 kph is more difficult than hitting on a spinner. 2.G.Sobers 3.H.Gibbs 4.R.Shastri

G. Sober greatest all rounder? This will be the biggest joke of the decade.
Here are the all time greatest all rounders in history of world cricket :
1. Jacque Kalis ( the only player in history of cricket, who has scored 10,000 runs in both tests and ODI and taken 250 wickets in tests and ODI).
2. Imran Khan 3. Ian Botham 4. Kapil Dev 5. Richard Hardley
Sobers nvr considered as an all rounder who will win match by bowling and batting. Even Sachin is better allrounder than Sobers, who has own single handedly in two great occasions in ODI cricket history.
Now, don't insult Allrounder position by saying Sobers is the greatest all rounder. On any day Cris Crains has bigger power to be ahead of Sobers in allrounder list.

Sorry, yes. It was Richard Hardlee. And, Jacques Kallis.
Further to my above points, I found Sobers one of the finest allrounder in Test but not the best, where as in ODI he has played only 1 which got out DUCK, and 31 runs with 1 wkt.
Sachin's greatest bowling performances against Aus and SA, and won remarkable win in HERO cup semi final over, then Final match in Titan cup against AUS, then same team at Kochi, then against Pak in Sarjah and many more remarkable wins.
But with respect Sobers sir is one of the finest allrounder, more over a legend batsman.

Sorry Das, actually Garfield Sobers was a mediocre cricketer who could not do anythig: bat, bowl, field. That being that, I wonder why the world is proclaiming him as the finest/greatest all-rounder. Maybe you can elaborate, Sorry Das.
