Making all the right noises, eh Johnny?
by Anil Suri on Mar 05, 2010 08:16 AM  | Hide replies

After all, you can't hope to get elected after rubbing BCCI the wrong way, can yer?

Mind you, this is the same John Howard who did not mind rather patronising language about India in the wake of Pokhran '98 and in subsequent foreign policy.

Mebbe MMS should consider employing Lalit Modi as FM in place of SM Krishna - he may be able to get hostile countries to fall in line, at least cricketing ones ;)

AS:

Since you didn't read the opening sentence of the above article, your comments are absolutely in line with debating standards of this forum.... i.e. as far removed from the original point as is possible... :)

And since you didn't read the above article, you must surely have invented a paragraph in it related to Pokhran... :)

MMS should definitely consider employing Modi (Lalit) simply because you choose to comment on this forum purely on the strength of reading the sensational headlines.... :)

Simply hilarious... :)

by Medulla Oblangta on Mar 04, 2010 08:26 PM

India today is at pinnacle of world Cricket only due to one man and he is MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI.

Guys ignore my comments. I am just inviting E Darwin for the combat. Missing him for last couple of days. :-)

Whatever you racist whites and Aussies want to say about India, you will have to face facts.
India runs World Cricket. We have the sponsorship and the hard cash. That is why your cricketers like Warne, Lee, Gilchrist, Hayden, Symonds, etc are playing here.

mr rai...please see the medical report of murali, for the medical inspection done by a panel of medicos on his bowling arm, and that is his right hand...and they stated it very clearly that his bowling hand having a bend which is from his birth..and tht is the reason we feel he is chucking , where as the fact is, he is not..and the medical examination stands that fact. please dont call a genuine player chucker...im not surprised, because, even Sir Sachin is not getting spared from the baseless critcism...no wonder with Murali.

Mr. Ryan bowling in a medical test is different when he is bowling in a Cricket match. Nobody is going to test him while he is playing an actual match.

Ryan, this test is useful only if the bowler's natural action is doubtful.. If he throws a random ball during a game, only the umpire can take the decision.

@kalyana Raman
by Ryan Christopher on Mar 04, 2010 03:01 PM  | Hide replies

Keeping all the respect for u Mr Raman, but have to say this, had Mr Murali been born with white skin, blue eyes and blonde hair....the case scenario would have been different.... that isnt the case here, he born with black skin and he is a black guy and that is what the main cause of all this concerns...it is always, justice appears to be a previlage and not rite for a black man. And the yesterdays action against Mitchel Johnson clearly proving it again....that , racism do exists and in cricket. It is always double balanced measures for measure a white player and a black player...Murali is not a chucker and that been prooven Scientifically...stil if people say he is a chucker , then, either they are, blind, ignorent, or just care for nothing...that is it..Murali is a great bowler, the time prooved it and we all knows it...thanks.

Ryan, you are wrong about Murali. His elbow is not straight when he bowls the doosra. But becos of the power of Asian lobby, the rule was modified to accomodate 15% or whatever.. You cannot deny the fact that his action changes...

That was the best example of "pure intelligence" in flowing display on this forum... :)

Of course the world is only made up of two types - ones who never make mistakes in their life i.e. Angels; and ones who never do anything right i.e. Devils.... There is nothing in between ... :)

Eh? :)

Well Scripted Acts
by Sreejith Nair on Mar 04, 2010 02:48 PM

Now it is a game of the subcontinent , for the subcontinent , by the subcontinent .
Injustice to South African cricket coach’s murder proves the power of subcontinent cricket board and their interests. If people in the subcontinent stop watching this game, it results in collapse of a big business may be cricket itself.
Just see how T20 become popular, India won it for the first time, then Pakistan, may be Srilanka next year .. ! from that point it is all about money. These are all scripted acts friends and don’t go mad behind it.
Remember an old news that a Zimbabwe player met with an accident while traveling in an Auto rickshaw in Srilanka. Anyone in subcontinent imagine about say Dhoni or Afridi travelling in an auto? In their country no one cares about cricket. So they and their cricket boards are poor and easy ‘buyable’. If you want to see ‘honest cricket’ watch test match coz no ‘big’ money flowing their and the anit-cricket elements already started talking about scrapping it.
Wake up .........
