Please stop posting this comment... Whenever you scroll down of an article for comments we see your comment first... I thin better you post a Popup ad......
All advertisements during telecast must be in the form of a one line caption underneath the scores and no pictorial advertisements must be entertained.
Modi has milking the last drops from the cash cow IPL.These "strategic" breaks are to allow the sponsors to push their products to the viewing public. After all they have paid zillions to Modi& IPL and need their exposure! Greed has beset cricket administrators in India. On a recent trip to India I was shocked at the attitude of Neo Cricket, which did not even wait for the ball to reach the boundary before it switched over to an "ad break"! It was as if the ads were more important than the game! The game seemed to be incidental! All these money grabbing people running cricket in India should realise that the milch cow has limited resources and cannot be squeezed to death! If the public turns off the game because of overt commercialism and high cost of stadium seats, who will the sponsors address their products to? Why would they pay a king's ransom if viewership numbers fall? Gordon Gekko's "greed is good" has led to financial disaster in US and the "Oracles" running the game in India should keep a close eye on this. I am sure that viewers will use the "strategic time off" to surf channels or take toilet breaks or prepare cups of tea/coffee! The advertisers will have empty lounges/bed rooms to push their products during these breaks!

You are 100% right. Earlier I use to watch all games that were played in Eden Gardens. The crowd was knowledgeable during 60s,70s and 80s. Later on I found people creating human waves, displaying long banners obstructing other spectators and getting up from their seat when a ball is hit in the air causing disturbance. So I stopped going to the ground and now because of untimely and long commercials I have stopped watching TV also. I am sure many others must be doing the same thing now.
Iam sure WE cricket lovers have to boycot the products advertisements which go beyond the limits of torture as we should accept some shit as they are backing IPL financially and filling Modi pocket and make live IPL

he is just doing what others are willing to pay him. No doubt the IPL is a big draw. People on here only know how to criticize. Only fit to do 9-5 job.

He is just trying to replicate NFL/NBA and EPL ..which certainly brings money for him but it also creates thounds of jobs too ... thanks to IPL we have got really few world class stadiums .... guys appreciate him for his business acumen.
Modi said the decision to specify the overs for taking the mandatory stoppages, lasting 2.5 minutes each, had been arrived at after having a look at the time-outs in other games like basketball and American football (NFL).
every layman watching the game knows it just to market the game by filling ads. Why u tell all this bullll........Mr Modi You are already earning so much money, u say am not satisfied IPL is still greedy and so am putting all this dirty breaks.
evrybody knows why these breaks are for... Mr. Modi, dont try to be a smart a**. I found it very irritating last year... IPL= All Tamasha, lil cricket! But I dont mind catching the matches post office ;)
