IPL KILLS CRICKET & CRICKETERS
by neha on Mar 01, 2010 10:01 PM

WHATS THE USE OF PLAYING IN IPL FOR PLAYERS? MONEY..NOTHING ELSE..THEY MAY GET INJURIES & MAY NOT BE FIT TO PLAY FOR THEIR COUNTRY. IPL HAS NOT GIVEN A SINGLE PLAYER FOR INDIA TO PLAY IN 20-20 OR 50-50 OR TEST. ITS A WASTE FOR INDIAN CRICKET. LALIT MODI IS THE KILLER OF INDIAN CRICKET.

Lalit Modi and BCCI are greedy about IPL revenue and do not want any news agencies to earn money out of this tournament.

an overblaoted tournament
by arnab on Mar 01, 2010 09:09 PM  | Hide replies

why in india is everything overbloated and hyped. lately, we cannot run anything without controversies. look at delhi commonwealth games. wonder what's happening there.
and this man Lalit Modi is clearly robust ina wrong way, pompous and self conceited.
he might run a big show, but honestly IPL clearly doesnt live upto the most international tournaments around the world.

what was even more so haughty of this man in last yr's IPL season in SA, was he said FIFA should learn from him how to conduct a tournament.
I can't stop LMAO. I mean u did a fair job, but how can u compare IPL with FIFA.
this man seriously needs to get his feet on ground. And to add to IPL the usual bullshit and propaganda of bollywood and thsoe same old monkey faces.
I wud still pay my money to go and watch a test match rather than seeing an IPL.

we r the greediest ethnic majority in the world and lately we r living upto it.

yep!!
where is ipl and where is fifa world cup??????????
Does he think we are fools to appreciate such a statement??how can he compare it to the most global sport in the world????
Fifa would have laughed by seeing the pre tournament roadshow where the cricketers and bollywood were trying hard to attract the locals attention on to the streets and that too in a cricket playing nation.
yeah Fifa would definitely have learned something from it

Long live Test Matches!!!!!

shorter version of cricket has made it stoop lower to other sports like WWE, Hockey, Football, boxing which get over in less than 3 hrs.

Means, IPL Authorities are not giving enough space for journalists in the tournament. Sitting as well as column. IPL doesnt want that revenue should flow to the news agencies who show the coverage of IPL in the form of news, pictures and highlights. Hence this debate. As these agencies are not ready to give up their revenue as it helps them to earn through advertisement in both print as well as media. Here IPL is at fault, clearly.
