U need good bowlers to defend any score.. Plus, no opener in the history had finished off a game by himself.. U need a finisher.. India started winning consistently after 2000 because we had Yuvi as finisher and Drevid went to no.5 and to do finishing job perfectly.. Now we ve Dhoni, Raina and co.. And, in tests he had scored 45 100's and if a team is not able to capitalise on most of them, its not his fault.. For a mater of example, the Chennai test against Pak?? The match record ll show India lost inspite of Sachin scoring 100.. But what happened in reality.. If Sachin s not great, Lara s not even a player as he played for a rapidly detoriated WI team.. Since Lara joined the team, the team is completely downsliding.. Sachin is a great player and one of the all time legends for sure..

I will always say cricket is team game and team wins or loose. and even then if you want to analyze more then for sake of saying who contributes more in winning then me and all the ex.cricket players and exerts are agreeing that it's bowlers who contributes more in winning then batsman and SACHIN is batsman not bowler.
You asked about Kapil and i gave you ans. about his wonderful career now from where sachin arrived in this. See i am not sachin's adv. but still if i compare sachin and kapil career specially finishing stage i find sachin's is doing pretty well compare to kapil, and as far as winning and loosing is concern cricket is team game and team wins or loose not player

i have seen many comments, whenever sachin's contribution to win is asked, fans say it is team game. Then what about players who are responsible for win in the major finals? they are stars, be it Soccer or cricket, every game has star performer

I feel in team game whole team contributes. It's media and people's love which make player stars or super stars, now as far as sachin's contribution is concern in finals and other matches id - Red Bull few days back gave fantastic comparison between great players such as (Riky and others) contribution in finals and other matches and even i got amazed that again sachin topped the list. and again i am not sachin's adv. and still i believe that sachin alone can not win the match for India

absolutely right, and even sachin feels that no body is indespensable.but it's media who makes player super star and next day they criticize him heavily, because its their business.

but still he retired when he was playing well. Batsman have advantages of playing even in thier 40s and spin bowler

you are wrong maan, at the end of his career he was playing only to break Hadlee's record and i still remember Captain Azharuddin was telling Anil Kumble not to take wicket and let kapil dev take wicket. and Anil did the same thing by bowling out side the leg stump to sriankan batsman.

This is absolute Rubbish. Kapil was definetly gone out of his mind just to brk one record.Hadlee indeed deserved that record. We Desis r behind cricket day in and day out all desi nations r cricket crazy including our arch rivals. This current indian team is fit for nothing plan simple FIT FOR NOTHING BUNCH OF LOOSERS INCLUDING SRT TO JADEJA REASONS 1) loose all world cups and world events on consistent basis 2)Never win multi national torneys. 3)If luck by chance we win . then all channels all TRP rating all news all scroll bars.. have champions return all around. 4)Money minded board which does nothing being worlds richest even compared to Yankees 5)achievements If we talk about test we play against 1st ranked team as 2nd ranked team and 8th ranked team as 7th ranked team we always compete with any bullshyt team we don't go for kill like OZ or SA does we believe in competition even with Meek so don't bring in team ranking we play as Bhai Bhai even with Chota Bhai;) 6)ODI achievement is there an achievement to talk about removed first round in almost all international ODI torneys india is WC flop team. just like UK football team we have highest expectation and lowest result. When did india win World event in ODI :) even NZ has better ods 7) T20 this is final Nail in coffin. We indeed fair in first T20 WC that was good all 15 includings subs did good job. After that it was a one way traffic being labled as ROCKSTARS HIGHEST PAID CHOKERS!!! MERA BHARATH NOT SO MAHAN!!
