i Agree with u.... But to become a quality allrounder he must be good with batting... he has played some good half centuiries... he needs some experience in batting... still think his batting will take some time to get matured... his bowling & Fielding is good.....

In India people enjoy mediocrity and stick to mediocre players like Jadeja and hoping them to be what they can never become.

It happened in case Ravi Shashtri, India lost many matches because this mediocre player in the past.

This is also the reason India can never become like Ausi or WI teams of 80s. Ranking is meaningless unless it is also the strongest team in the world.

India Brilliant
by Kumar Chakraborthy on Jun 25, 2010 01:41 PM  | Hide replies

Winning the Asia Cup very comprehensively goes to prove that one series failure should not be taken into account. Dhoni has again proved his mettle in all departments. The greatest of all. Dhoni the God of Cricket. Now Tendulkar is not required that much. India in the recent past has won without Tend'kar,Viru etc.
All credit goes to M.S.DHONI, the greates of all, the God of Cricket, Living Legend etc. etc.

Jadeja performed well in finals
by SarvamKrishnarpanam on Jun 25, 2010 01:17 PM  | Hide replies

I agree R Jadeja hasn't done any good with bat but he had a decent finals with 24 runs, 2 for 29 and a good catch..isn't that good enough for him to stay on..Bhajji won us the BIGGEST game against PAK, but he too didn't do any spectacular stuf in the finals. To paly in finals and put a decent show needs some respcet what ever one might think of Jadeja.

PM did not congragulate Saina
by SarvamKrishnarpanam on Jun 25, 2010 01:15 PM  | Hide replies

Sad to see that there was no accolades for Saina winning second super series or reaching ranking 3..its ok that Cricket is the super sport and king in India, but others like Boxing (Mary Kom), Badminton (Saina) cannot be ignored.

So true. Saina Nehwal won so many finals and now ranked world no 4. No accolades/prizes for her. Bull#$%. Somebody tell Mr PM to comment and help other sports as well.

I put Saina Nehwal's feat on a higher plane than our cricket team. Winning prestigious tournaments back to back ag formidable opponents is indeed remarkable. And then earning NO 3 ranking tag is stupendous. It is a pity that neither our PM nor our Sports Minister congratulated her.

we (Indian fans) always forget the past whenever ind wins a series. The team selection should be done keeping in mind that next year we have a world cup in subcontinent.

The team line up of 2011 WC team shall be

Sehwag,Gambir,Sachin,Raina,Yuvi,
Dhoni,I.Pathan,Bhajji,Khan,P Ojha,Nehra.

other 3 playes in bench shall be

D Karthick,R Jadeja,P kumar

Good one dude.. I think this is the team.. May be we can ve Uthappa in the reserves in place of Karthik or RJ.. He can be devastating in the lower middle order and it ll be helpful to get more runs.. Bowling ll be taken care by parttimers like Yuvi, Viru n Raina.. My playing 11 d be..

Sachin
Sehwag
Gambhir
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Raina
Uthappa
Harbhajan
Praveen
Zaheer
Nehra

May be Ifran in place of Uthappa if we r goin to play two spinners with Ojha replacing either Nehra or Praveen based on form.. Dinesh Karthik as the other reserve.

politics is democratic. success in politics is decided by head counts. Cricket is watched by more head counts. few people follow Saina' sport and very very less follow Ass shifting game, Chess. So, no wonder why a politcal leader sends congratultory notes only to cricket. it has wide readership, and by this way, people think Mr.sing for few seconds. that counts...
