Ind- Pak

It was a great game a real dog-fight which we normally come second best in, but this time we won. It gives us a glimpse of Indian team sans Tendulkar. I believe Sehwag should come in the middle order because he is not bothered with building the innings and he wants to attack all the time. He can be vital in the second power play in the end because then we have to attack no matter what. Promoting Rohit Sharma to open might be an option. Pak team is looking good as well. Young Aamer is a special bowler and he is a good guy as well. No faltu abusing at this stage of his career - he seems to know that. ajmal seemed very crafty too. Afridi brings some sort of calm to their team like Akram used to. Cant compare him to Imran yet. Wish we have more great matches with Pak. No matter how many Ipl matches we watch, nothing compares to a Ind-Pak game.

Yeah, India-Pakistan matches have a flavor of their own that is something else as they say. I have observed that the current Pak team is not a patch to the ones they had in the 1970s or 1980s or 1990s or even early 2000s. Those teams had great batters and bowlers as well. Imran Khan was unique, had the aura, stature and the talent to do anything, none came anywhere near him except for Wasim Akram

Their batting is a weak point, something they will face trouble in England. They should have had Yousuf and Younis, two players who had the technique and talent to play high quality test batting. The absence of these two will be felt there, pity that politics came in and ruined the show. However, they have in Mohd Aamer, Umar Akmal, two stars for the future.

Nikhil, you for one seem like a real cricket lover. indeed a lovely game of cricket and a great exhibition of ODI's. If anything can make ODIs interesting, its only Indo-Pak games. Congrats to all Indians on the victory and to Pakis for participating in the non stop 9 hours entertainment.

Indians have learnt to win under pressure..........
by India on Jun 20, 2010 09:44 PM  | Hide replies

Pl recall the team of yesteryears specially

when some players like Ravi Shastri,Gavasker

etc were playing for selfish games and India

was choking and loosing games invariably to

Pakis ...Indians were lacking in killing

insticts ...untill ,match fixer Azhar was Captain for 10 long years...

...Indians learnt fighting spirit under Dada

from 2000 onwards which has now somehow continues.......

This is good for the team........

india have shown some consistency under the captaicy of azhar, earlier india did not win against pakistan ( very few matches).but when azhar took command india won almost 50 % against pakistan, but yes i do agree, indians learnt more fighting spirit under dada, bcoz more match winning player's present in the team , earlier only azhar and sachin.

A very balanced comments. Need to keep up in true spirit. After all it is a game and should be played as game. Enjoy cricket. Better luck next time.

They will change completely in the next series and will start blame the others in the team. This pakis repeat their mistakes always. I was expecting younis khan will lead the pak team for the coming 50 overs world cup..
