i think he has already clarified that he wants to be fit for the WC.If young players like dhoni etc. can take rest from a tour.....SACHIN at 37 years certainly can ask for an extended vacation. He knows his body well....and he has to use it carefully to play the WC.

The Chairman of seletors Kris Srikanth is unfit to be the selector..!!!Whenevr he selects a national team he always picks a bunch of waste tamilnadu players who r even unfit to play "GALLI CRICKET"..If He is the seletor for the 2011 World Cup it wil b full of tamilians who wil b out in the preliminary round itself

NaveenKumar D:

Can you kindly point out why do you think Ravindra Jadeja, Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Dinda, Praveen Kumar, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Amit Mishra are from Tamil Nadu?

Any problems understanding geography? ;-)

Is sachin following the game at all?
by s on Jun 16, 2010 01:26 PM  | Hide replies

WHat does he mean by Morgan? Morgan is not even going to be in the 14 leave alone the playing 11. Looks like sachin can only bat but when it comes to speaking about the game he is a total zero.

Dude.. Morgan is a guy with strong head and knows to pace innings better than anyone.. He is the real upcoming talent in batting in last 1-2 yrs.. Look into his batting in ODI and T20's.. We havent seen his test performance yet.. But with such a cool head and good temperament, he can shime.. Thats the difference btwn legends and kids like us.. We see the records.. They see the potential..

What is the potential dude.. He couldnt score runs against a weak bangladesh attack and our sachin says he is the key to winning Ashes.. I think you and sachin are referring to some potential which is not cricketing in nature..

u wanted him to score a triple century in his debut just bcos the opposition is Bangladesh? how many ppl have done that? what Sachin sees is talent, and along with the talent, a very sound temperament. Ur obviously one who doesn't follow world cricket a lot cos if u had seen his performances in S Africa, u wud have kept ur mouth shut!

Dont get emotional dude. Just talk facts. Is he going to play the first Ashes game in Brisbane. No way unless somebody gets injured. With that how is your greAt sachin tendulkar saying that he is the key to winning the Ashes. Looks like you are also as smart as your favourite cricketer :-D

What Sachin is implying is that England shud play Morgan cos he is made of sterner stuff than cry babies like Bell! Although he didn't name who needs to be dropped but the logical conclusion is Bell who has been a bunny for the Aussies in the past. Learn to analyse and not just relate to verbatim! Btw, ur questioning of Sachin's knowledge of the game is actually in pretty poor taste!

Lets see how good is ur and ur great sachin's understanding of potential when the playing XI for the first ashes test is announced. Morgan wont even be the 12th man. Maybe 2 yrs down the line he might be a great prospect. But I guess your great hero sachin was asked about the Ashes 2010 and not the one which is going to happen in 2014. By the way u dont have to be a great player to follow and understand the game and this is not the first time Mr. Sachin has mentioned something stupid like this.

BTW, any idea why Rediff deliberately sidelined you whilst seeking expert comments on the game? :)
