process of action in public interst.
by raman govindan on Jun 05, 2010 05:57 PM

normally in the processing of any tender, finalisation, approval and giving purchase or work order, there should be no confusion with regard to the name, identity, nationality, address, bidder's tecnical knowhow, financial capablity etc. they will be pointed out for rejection at the lowest level say desk level or the section level which may not even be headed by officers.

but the finalisation is different if the other aspects are OK.

for example, but the higher level officer of tamilnadu government who puts up for approval can recommend the tata trucks which are costlier than the leyland trucks on some superior technical spec. or the costlier ashok leyland trucks for industrial peace in chennai where the they are manufactured, but should make the reasons clear and straight. neither he nor the approving authority will be faulted for the decision whatever it be. at best the courts if they are not satisfied with the decision may order the reversal.

one needs common sense, be and appear sincere and honest, do not delay and act in the best possible public interst without any resemblance of peccuniary benefit to him. that is all there to it.

but few may take the opportunity to derive benefit. that cannot be avoided.

maratha lobby
by IndiaNeed AnotherFreedom on Jun 05, 2010 05:54 AM  | Hide replies

this maratha lobby (Sharad,Sunny,Ravi) hijacked/stole/bullied or let me say did all they can do to keep ICL out and these guys never liked Kapil Dev and his 83 team (none of them are associated with IPL) and made sure to keep them out. They successfully framed KD in match fixing and gave him a bad name. To clean cricket, BCCI must be shut down and give a fresh start with handing over the power to retired cricketer excluding Sunny Ravi....

these guys are jealous from the success of Lalit Modi, hence they kicked him out, but they forgot, LM is big corrupt then they imagined. He got all informaiton of all these biggies and passing it ..1by1 to media...
just wait...more info will come to media...on all these saints of cricket world....

Too much muck from Modi-BCCI fracas.....
by Globalcrusador on Jun 05, 2010 05:21 AM  | Hide replies

It is becoming very clear that IPL is a can of worms ready to burst open. To catch a thief, set a thief is an old saying and it is coming out extremely true. There is not one top BCCI official who appears able to come out crystal clean, despite all the initial denials. Almost every one appears tainted. A thorough investi-gation looks a must.

Bad BCCI / IPL Karma ?
by antar jaal on Jun 05, 2010 02:15 AM  | Hide replies

I always thought BCCI stole the IPL idea from the ICL and ICL took a hit due to the bullying by the BCCI. That's what's hurting them now and I am enjoying it all. Subhash Chandra and party lets send a team to the Commonwealth games !!

It was Pawar and Co who made sure ICL was a still born baby and gave birth to IPL- reasons very obvious, Subhash Chandra should have agreed to share the pie , ICL would have been the talk !!! Long live Sabse bada rupaaiah
