THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT AUSSIES ARE A POTENT FORCE TO RECKON WITH.INDIA IS A GOOD TEAM BUT 2 BE HONEST THEY HAVE STARS & NOT ACHIEVERS. AUSSIES ARE MADE OUT OF A DIFFERENT MOULD ALTOGETHER.THEY HV THE TENDENCY TO TURN THE GAME AT ANY POINT OF TIME.TEAM AUSTRALIA DESERVES TO BE NUMERO UNO.
India is worlds best team now, and ponting talks of it as if its bangaldesh or zimbabwe, and using us as a preparation for a weak team like England. Perhaps ponting is still angry about being left out of the worlds best cricket league IPL. Australia have lost 2/3 last series to India, and even the one series they won was due to umpiring. India will hammer Aussies and show whos the boss!!!

certainly not the best team.....india is "ranked" no.1 on the basis of winning percentage....but AUS are allways the best team....tough and competitive

If India is world no.1 in tests currently, does not it mean India is the best team?

Never underestimate your opponents- that is too when it is Australia! Generally Indians rest on their oars when they reach the top. When India plays Australia three big guns in batting- Sachin, Dravid and Laxman apart from Sehwag have to click as I am afraid the bowling will be below par with out Kumble and Bajji jaded and fading out.

Dunno about Ponting, but your message is very typical.... :)
In fact you are the one who is making tall claims even before the matches are played, whereas all Ponting has said is about the type of matches and Sheffield Shield practice (in case you cared to read the above message at all).. :)
