If you want to end test cricket, keep more of them in Sri Lanka and you will see how easy to kill a game. The roles looks prety set, and script is well defined. The pitches are such that they will suit the home. If you check the Sri Lankans record with toss at home, it is amazing to see how the spin of coin is mostly for them. So the script is win the toss, keep batting till you get fill of it ,bat out the opponents and make them tired sufficently to see that they carry those few strains and niggle s into the rest of the game. When the opponent team begin their batting the match is dead for them, either save it or lose it. This is the script for every match. Only appriciation I have is that the Sri Lankan batsman play their roles to perfection, but the are butchering the game. The doctored pitches will kill the test cricket fast. Their was time when we were interested in watching the match, but now its just OK to see the score line after each day.

Sachin was good very good. But With respect our on going discussion, even Sachin's inning is not enough to put any life in such matches. If he score's a double or triple he saves the match or else you end up loosing. The Sri Lankan script does'nt give any more chances/options. Tomorrow they would go out to get some more 100's to improve respective averages. Facing a Mamoth 650 score- most of the teams would bulge under pressure/fatigue, and eight out off ten times would be following on and loosing.
Both sachin and Vishy anand exude a goodness, calmness, and self-confidence that makes them so likeable. And their ability is unquestionable and uncommon!

Visy had drinking problem and would wake up every day swollen. Sachin is lot deciplined and sober and incopmarale to Visy
know it is very difficult to argue. It is difficult to see the value of Sachin because most of the times, it didn;t translate to wins. I believe in order to see the value of sachin, you need to have good bowlers who can take 20 wickets. Also tail enders who can chip in atleast 10 to 20 runs after sachin scored heavily. For instance, Tendulkar was out after scoring 100 plus against Pakistan and india was supposed to score another 20 runs with 3 wickets in hand. But india could not score those 20 and hence Sachins knock didn;t show the value that it deserves. Having said that, I believe Sachin is one of the Greatest cricketer that Cricket ever witnessed. He had unlimited potential and has the ability to play in all sorts of wickets and able to destroy any bowler. His game is more attactive to see. I believe cricket got a life because of players like Tendulkar.
Having said that, I believe there is going to be debate on who is greatest of all after Don Bradman and Garry Sobers. There are players like Steve Waugh, Ricky Pointing, Brian Lara who played very very valuable innings.

Correction - He is the 3rd left handed batsman after Surinder Amarnath to score a test ton on Debut!
