Ganguly is a very special player. His centuries in England in the debut series will be always remembered.
And who will forget his aggressive leadership style. He belongs to the class of Lala Amarnath and Kapil Dev who were very aggressive captains on the field.

Its fine, but he has been plying international cricket for a long time. Also, this was one of the flattest tracks, graveyard for bowlers, which produced 2 double centuries, 3 centuries (excluding sehwag's unlucky 99), and even Abhimanyu Mithun was on his way to make a fifty. The home team made 642/4, and visiting made 669/9.
This debut century can not be compared with the ones scored by Sehwag, Ganguly or Amre.

Indian team plays well on flat tracks. When it comes to play on green tops they have their own woes.

Rohit Sharma is just bubble, so many chances but very poor out come. Pujara is way ahead of him. I guess Pujara will be next.
Congrats to Raina.. the future looks good.. he is technically very sound.. has good shot selection and a great temperament.. will go long.. all the best!!
Why forget Gundappa Vishwanath , he had scored in second innings on debut but it is immaterial. His name must also be included in the list. forgetting G.R.Vishwanath the greatest batsman the world had ever seen.
