huhhhhh, a timeless test between two equally stong cricket playing teams may take even more than 7 days to complete when all 4 innings are over....the players would become sooo tired man!!!
They cannot tolerate India being on top of charts for long time, would do something fish in tournament with umpires and make some white country to be no 1
If free hits, wides and all can make life easier for them, make life easier for the bowlers too. Allow two bouncers per over, reward bowlers who beat the bat often (have a certain amount of runs deducted from the batsman who was beaten X number of times, and deduct the same amount of runs from the bowler's "no of runs conceeded" column), etc.
Ppl just think. How much credit will u attribute for a ODI macth against Bangaladesh, where Sachin makes 100 in first innings and India make 250-270 and India win comfortably? I would guess not much credit to it. Flash-back to 2007 world cup match, Ind vs Ban , India lost that resulted in ousting out of the world cup. India made around 190 and Ban chased it in about 49 overs. If Sachin made a century in that match, it would like the case I mentioned above. Bottomline, every century he made counts irrespective of oppenent,ground and first/second innings. You will know the value of the innings only if it never exists. But players,selectors/commentators know that value.Thats why they redgard him as the greatest player. Clueless ppl can keep barking that he cant win matches.

Dude..the point here is he did not make a 100 in that all important match...and that day Indian would have won if any of our top batsman made a 100.

Dude, the real point is, that was an all important match only because we lost it. Otherwise y will u call the first match of the world cup against ban an important match? Now do you see how important all his knocks in 1996,1999 and 2003 world cups?

U have hit the nail on it head Mr. Super Hero. Your analysis is perfect.People might say the same about the double hundred made yesterday. Without that Indis might have been following on might have even collapsed in the second innings.

He did score a century against kenya in 1999 world cup before which India had lost 2 matches in a row. That was a vital century for India to win the match and then become part of super six
I am a T20 freak.Still i enjoyed last week's PAK vs AUS final test.It was exciting and provided a close finish.Matches should be result oriented and in my opinion overs should be limited say 100 per each innings.But if a team is all out before 100 overs remaining overs should be given to opposite side.Any way innovation should be made in test cricket also.Instead of matches between 2 nations a world championship with bonus points must be implemented.
should implement all rules of 1 day and t20 like, calling wides, bouncer limitations, free hits,... that's all. test will be more interesting than any other format..... also need more matches...............

i forget to mention one thing. TEST CRICKET SHOULD NOT END IN 5 DAYS. SHOULD BE PLAYED TILL RESULT COMES.....
