Let Sehwag play his natural game
by Jomesh George on Jul 29, 2010 09:33 PM

I don't want to criticise Sehwag.Let him play his natural game.I remember first time he got a triple century against PAK.He finished century hitting a six off Akhtar and triple century by hitting Saqlain for six.In between he finished double century also playing an attacking four.It is his style and he got lots of runs with these kinds of shots. Many players who play very defensively stay at the crease for long but not able to get a decent score and get out off a good ball.Sehwag is consistent with his performance and dominate the opposite bowling. He reached this current stage because he didn't give up his natural play.We can expect more big scores from him.

by Rahul Ekbote on Jul 29, 2010 10:07 AM

we dont want if the else statistics,we want wins and world cup 2013,one day.Pawar sahib and ICC should find out fast ballers who can perform coming world cup,we hearing same names Nehara, patha, ishant, zheer only performing, all should be compulsory rested till world cup, train them with basics at delhi acedemay,no honeymoon affecting performance during world cup, like Dhoni and no wivwes or girlfriend s allowed and Yuvi shuld be warned breaking any discipline with bhajji, all should perform and win coming 1 day world cup,What is the use of Sachin all records if he cannot win single one day world cup, thats whys kapil da is more superior than Sachin, kapil reckoned india with 1983 worl cup with inspired indian players like mohinder, binny and tortoise Sunil gavaskar sahib.

Result will come!!!!

I don't think so. It may be possible if Sehwag would have been made around 250.

Sewag Rues
by uday shankar on Jul 29, 2010 07:18 AM  | Hide replies

Sewag has no patriotism. He did this many a times. He is boosted by our expert commentators like Manjrekar n co., who say thats how Sewag plays. He plays for them n money not for India. Its time to warn him of the boot if he continues this way. He should learn from Sachin a lot.

Well its exactly not like that. It has nothing to do with the patriotism. Sachin use to get nervous in his 90's and he was out so many time in his 90's. So perhaps Sehwag wants to get out of the jinx quickly and score hundred and then get back to normal. No body complains when he hits sixes on such occasions. Now since he missed it everybody is complaining. And please dont forget 99 is also not easy to get.

Shewag ji,

you are an excellent cricketer with lot of brain & maturity.we ll agree to your repeated comments that the shots you normally get out is the one it fetched runs also. but should you not realise the situation, you are well set you should go on 7 on like what you did in chennai recently, teams position your analysis now it is difficult to bat on 4 th & 5 th day etc.( Then you should have more in the crease.)more you stay more runs you get. all the wickets of yours are not earned by the bowlers but thrown away by you which you will agree. i am the greatest fan of all time to come. just emulate sachin for his patience & perseverance.all the best.

Agreed but again some times it is in the head. The urge to quickly get the 100 and get back to normal is something which he wanted to achieve. And eventually trying to play normally might be sometimes risky. Sachin got out on 90 under such situation many times.

What is others doing in the Team.
In the first inning of the First Test unfortunately he got run out. Second Innings he played comparitively well(11 Players are there in the team). This innings he got out cheap that is unfortunate. I don't know, what you know about test cricket. You will see real Dravid, when there needs more technique in bouncy and pace tracks where every one else except Sachin, Sehwag and may be Lakshman succeeds.
In this Pitch anybody can bat, Dravid got out unfortunate.

No surprise.

Why is Sehewag upset? As if this is the first time he has got out like this. But whatever his faults Sehwag gets more runs than others for India. He just scores them quickly. It is very crucial for India how many balls Sehwag is able to survive in an innings.

What ever we say, that shot was an absolutely over smart move from Sehwag. India was in a very good position then.. and Sehwag already got two lives... He shld have checked the bowler before jumping out...! That move killed the momentum .. otherwise, India would have avoided follow on yesterday itself..!!

Country First, Fearless cricketer etc is good.. but people shld have some sense in them.. ALL BALLS ARE NOT TO BE MEANT TO HIT... I relaly hope India will score another 200 runs at least and push this test towards the inevitable - DRAW. Dhoni and rest of the co are not dependant.. so this pair shld really stick on for another 100-150 runs at least..!!

He is a Senior now and should be mature enough to control his shorts little much. He should be as usual, which gives us a good start, but he should stop trying too much and get out.
The way he got out this time in a test match was Pathetic considering the impact he could have done for this match because of his swift scoring ability.

This quality of Team man is there for Sehwag always. But What angers any Sehwag fan like me, bugger never learns from his mitake of rash shots. He has got the technique if you look at many times, but never seem to improve on his defence. and straignt bats.
all teh time cut and cross bats.
Sucks sehwag. U need a whack :)
