there is a point from raina, lanka batting is more determined than that of India.

CHANGE OF LEADERSHIP MADE PAKISTAN A WINNER.

we needed a new captain.

this is what india need to avert the last match loss, BUT GOAT HEADED SELECTORS DON'T UNDERSTAND this.

sri lanka and india

David has put goliath to shame. Indians show off too much. Too self effected and self conscious.Sri Lankans and Pakistanis are humbler and modest. No airs abouit them. Indians must learn to be more natural.Only then they can be good sportsmen.

ways to improve

BCCI must launch serious talent hunt for pacers and speedsters to improvise .Bring on the top twenty fast bowlers and give them serious training and fitness tips .This is the only way India can end this drought/As far as spin is concerned , Harbhajan must morally resign .Murali karthik and Ashwin are real prospects.

If u are so sure that India will loose every game regardless of the opposition then bet BIG money and become rich. But you know that cricket is unpredictable and one bad day spoils a test match. Remember Australia were bowled out for 88 against the paki side recently. If you dont like the game dont watch simple.

Why all this negativity guys???
by sandeep kumar on Jul 26, 2010 07:45 PM  | Hide replies

I see just negative postings here, but people are forgetting the fact that it is a depleted line up (zaheer, sreesanth, gambir, yuvi, irfan, kohli etc). Thats like half the team missing. ANd of course, the Sri lankan board wants to prepare such flat pitches which enables ordinary batsman like dilshan(whos a 2020 specialist) and panaraviana to score runs. Perhaps they are scared of ishants bounce on a sporting wicket, so they decided to bore the Indians(and the audience) out. I hope ICC makes it mandatory to ensure that the pitches everywhere are sporting

You are downplaying Lankans' assault by saying Indian team is a depleted side. You are forgetting that the team played in first test which Indians shamelessly lost had best and most experienced batting line up yet were forced to follow on and just managed to escape from humiliating defeat thanks to two bowlers batting bravely! When Lanka plays it is termed as batsman's paradise but when we play it is becoming hell for batsmen! Strange comments!

you joker, we lost the first test very badly. you are talking as if zaheer, sreesanth and etc. are world class players. not a single of the mentioned players have won a test on their own.

Just because we lost one match dosent mean that we should forget all the series that we won last year, including abroad in seaming pitches. Team india is still No1, and have u seen zaheers bowling over the last three years? He is among the best in the world now..Too bad he is injured. And sreesanth in Joburg 2006, had even donald saying that he has the worlds best seam position. And what about ishants 2008 spells in aus? And didnt Murali say that bhajji has a chance to break records? We have world class bowlers but its just that injuries and too much cricket is hampering our team

hello Sandeep. Gavasker played very well in 1987. Do you want him in the India team too? What did they do in the recent past. That is what matters.

BUSY IN ADVERTISEMENT
by inderjit chowdhury on Jul 26, 2010 07:39 PM

Last week all newspaper spoke about Dhoni's 210 cr. deal with agency and also several articles about hepty earning about Indian players. Rediff was also in same platform. Media writes what sales. Neither media nor Indian players have got any commitment towars gane or country, no matter whatever they say. We are now observing the result of that. We should stop discussing about game, score, rather we should discuss more about Dhoni's marriage, advertisement earnings etc.etc. We sould not take any lesson even from Brazil / France about what action to be taken if we don't win. Jai BCCI - Paisa Kamao aur public ko buddhu banao
