Stupid selection policy costing India dear
by Sameer Bhagwat on Jul 31, 2010 10:20 AM

Indian outlook is totally defensive. There is no aggressive intent, no planning to take 20 wickets. The selectors are more afraid of losing...so they don't even make any attempt to win. And depend on the toss to try and bat first. Even that will backfire against strong bowling attacks like RSA, Eng, Aus or Pak.

So, never mind the bowlers, Dhoni. Don't pretend that you feel for them. If you really cared about their workload, you would have picked 5 bowlers. Instead you prefer to protect your (already pampered) batsmen.

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see more bowlers go the Flintoff/Murali route: forget tests and make easy money by playing IPL. There also, the bowlers are cannon-fodder, but the torture lasts for much less time, and there is oodles of money on offer.

Summing up, we want more dead pitches so that our Bradmans can boost their test average? After all, shouldn't Sachin get to 50 test hundresds?? Isn't that more important than winning tests?

And sponsors' darling Yuvy is feeling left out...he is sad that he missed scoring some easy runs. He is licking his chops and waiting for the next pitch to be of the same lifeless variety.

Paper tigers...

Lankans should freel ashamed of themselves.
by jithu on Jul 27, 2010 09:21 AM

They will score tons and tons against india, which has worst bowling attack in the universe. And they will enjoy as if they made centuries against australia. Sad guys. Whole world knows abt srilanka and pakistan. They can only win against india. They cant win against countries like australia. 100%. Pakis won a single test match against aus recently after 16 years. And i dont know how many decades completed for srilanka to make a test match win against aus.

Also if we see india and srilanka are the two countries which lacks consistency. Every year there will b 5 test matches and some 5 odi series between these countries. If 1 india wins, then next one will b lankas. It is not talent. Luck. I WAS fan of india. But now definitely NOT.

When cricketers from Maharashtra, South Indian or from West Bengal doesn't perform well, everyone starts abusing their region., but when it comes to sardars (real singh bhajji and munna singh Yuvi), no one open their mouth. Why this bias yaar....

read the excerpts...

...

..

Angrez did not unite portion of India for sake of India, they did it because disparate elements in india only accepted angrez as
their masters but had no respect for each other. Thus angrez could command over disparate elements to quell another disparate element. but could never rule if they only ruled one of them.

BURMA regiment was sent to quell 1857 uprising.

Why did Mangal pandeys join Angrez forces for food/money are the same forces that line up indians against indians

Why don't we
by A Singh on Jul 27, 2010 07:30 AM

play with 11 batsmen?
Anyone who can turn his arm around has bowled without result. Even Dhoni can bowl like this.

Not to worry....Bhajji will just finish off.
Remember:
Mahela said Bhajji is the key.
Murali said Bhajji can take over his place- Bhajji will follow him

Haha well said. bhajji can only follow him into retirement. He cant take wickets on first 3 days in a test match. He can only take wickets on only 4th and 5th day and that too on a pitch where no 1 can play against spin.

Tests:
Sehwag
Gambhir(Not sound technically. But as long as he scores like he
did for the last coule of years, we need not bother.)
M Vijay(Excellent Technique.I still remember his 80 odd innings
against sri lanka.Mentally not suitable for ODI/T20.Remember he is
just as a Reserve Test Opener.)
Dravid (No longer has impeccable concentration but still good
enough to be in playing 11)
Scahin (Best Test player)
Laxman (No longer has hunger to score centuries.Batting late is no excuse.
On his day, holds up one end and scores 60-70 in 170-180 balls. I dont understand
what will run in his mind when he takes a single and gives strike to tail-enders.
But still good enough to play in 11 for next 1-2 years)
Pujara(1st) / Rohit
(Laxmans place should be given to pujara. If he fails hand over to rohit)
Dhoni ( for subcontinet pitches only)
Parthiv (1st)/ Karthik (for away tours)
Harbhajan( Hate him or not, he is best among the spinners we have)
Mishra(1st)/Ojha
Zaheer
Ishant(if he regains form) or someone with raw pace for Subcontinent ptches
Irfan/RP Singh/Sreesanth for away tours)

Notes:
Yuvi (doesnt deserve tests)
Raina(doesnt as of now.Unless he proves otherwise like gambhir)
Nehra and Munaf ( dont have fitness to last 5 days)

This name sake Indian Cricket team is no more INDIAN Team, I call it BCCI Team because Cricket is neither our national game nor they are doing anything good for cricket to improve its level, their aim is just count wealth out of indian people's pocket.

no.1 team thrashed. Do we need to pay more to player and selector
by Ram V on Jul 27, 2010 01:13 AM

we are calling our team no.1 in the world. what a pity. Last test we escaped innings defeat and thrashed by 10 wickets. This test also looking the same way.

With IPL, sponsors, and awards our players are the richest, do they practice and deserve it.
