"We are not taking opponents lightly" ... "Sri Lanka (or whichever team) will be favourites in home environment" ... "conditions will be suitable for spin bowling" ... all these statements make me puke. Dont make comments, just go and win the match you idi0t.

Your name matches with that of a gentleman andknowledgeable cricket commentator but you must know how to express your opinion. You have no right to call any one an idiot. First you behave yourself.

Gopal Krishnan. Idiot is not a bad word. If you think so, then go and watch 3 Idiots.
Thank God there were no tamil players from chennai in last match like Murli Vijay, Ashwin, Dinesh Karthik, Badrinath, etc. else whole world would have pointed finger on these gentlemen and Srikanth would have been accused of Regional bias.
Now since we have lost, all racists are dumbfounded as they still scratching their heads whom to blame! But yes, Dhoni bashers will always party whenever India loses.

You are very true. The message boards are clean even though the team lost pathetically. If even one TN fellow had been in the team, then it becomes a reason for the defeat and also Srikanth gets the blame for being regionally biased.

So sad Muralidharan born in Sri-Lanka. If he was born in India, definately he would have richer than Dhoni.....

Are you sure? Muralidharan, though born in India, would still be a 'Tamil'. The Tamil bashers would not have seen him as an Indian.

Good for Dhoni but no one needs that kind of money to make a decent living. Anyway Dhoni should justify that kind of remuneration by scoring runs in test matches, not just in 20 and 50 overs matches where there are fielding and bowling restrictions. Let us see how many runs Dhoni and Yuvraj will score in the next 2 tests.
yaar! laxman is a good batsmen..not doubt...but his last fifty against lanka was nt a fighting one...it was sorry to see him passing the strike to tailenders like harbhajan,ishant....look what did Smith on other day...laxman should learn from him....

U might be right yaar, but a person cannot play alone for the whole day. I guess he did this to ensure that some sort of confidence is generated in the tail enders. Well that was reflected in Ishant's and Ojha's batting.

The point was Laxman made life easy for the Sri Lankans....Imagine how Allan Border would have handled similar situations....He would have made the opposition toil for the last two wickets and suddenly the hunted becomes the hunter...
Leave alone Mr Dhoni even the old colleagues like the great sachin and anothr great wall did not acknowledge the fighting knock of VVS Probably they both thought that India already lost the game and hence no appreciation is necessary. Come on Dravid and Sachin Be sport and dont behave like hookers

Appreciation can be done behind closed doors. One need not babble in front of the media to appreciate someone, they can do it in private without letting the media get hold of it.
it is shameful how the indian team still relies on sachin, dravid, vvs players like yuvi, dhobi and others can never grow up (mentally) to take responsibility bowlers like ishant etc are not good enough for club cricket like IPL then how can the dream of representing the country France and italy took their loss in WC so seriously But our BABUsssss are least bothered about our nation Their pockets should remain full they are happy
Nobody from the dressing room stood up or even clapped for the fighting effort by VVS Laxman(Half Century). MSD should learn to handle Human Resource. Time and Again Laxman comes to rescue India. India will be looking to bank on VVS Laxman to win next match

But Lanka is taking India lightly. They know indians are more concerned outside for some ADs,dancing with celebs, having nice drinks, thinking about future programes of entertainment
I do not know how a person like Dhoni can still say " our batting line up is one of the best " . Within India probably , but not in International cricket with the consistent poor performances which was seen even in the first test against Srilanka where we could not sustain 2 innings of 11 great batsmen after one day play had been completely washed away.If a batting line up is among the best, they should have the technique and temperment to stay in the crease and atalest save the match which is not there and shame on the captain to keep bragging about such a line up.

Well said! These guys lack the attitude and the passion to succeed when the chips are down. So, seniors or youngsters, both are the same!

Again, it is seen that when sehwag scores a big hundred, others do well on the foundation set, otherwise it is the same old story whenever we play abroad!
