It's because the ball pitches and turns from behind and lefties don't totally face the ball at the time of pitching. Leggies are much easier for the lefties to face because they can face and read the pitch of the delivery well and manage their footwork better.
Fight...fight...fight: oh, what was the body language of India team when Sourav was the captain.Really it was amazing to watch. Jaheer, Vaji, Yuvi,Sehwag,Nehera... all were young blood then, simply boiling in the field. Not any controversy between senior and junior.Sachin, Rahul,Anil, Srinath...all were very closed to juniors, just like a happy family, all are closed friend, Real TEAM INDIA. At that time no politics was in the team and this was probably 1st time in Indian cricket history. Really GANGULY is all time best Indian Captain. Nobody can challange this.

Comparitively dhoni is an idiot when compared to ganguly .... he got a set team to destroy where as Ganguly built the team from ashes. Dhoni is very much adament and is not a team player.

As a captain Ganguly's main achievement was he totally removed this type of silly provential mentality for 1st time and probably last from indian cricket team. Before that nobody except the player from Mumbai and Karnataka couldnt even dream to get selected in India team
