All time legendary CHUCKER of cricket
by bango tango on Jul 22, 2010 08:22 PM  | Hide replies

will u allow a blind person to be a pilot of an plane ?? Will u allow an athlete with injuries to run less distance in 100 meters race ???

then y murali was allowed to bend arm more than permissible limit if he has a bend arm by birth ??? He should have rather played handicapped cricket....

Shane Warne is the Best Ever Spin Bowler....not this chucker...

Dont try to rake up unwanted controversies. Give credit to the man, he was cleared by technology and that is more than enough. No one can take 800 wickets if he was merely a chucker. If that was so, why so many in the past and now could not take that much of wickets. BE graceful and admit the greatness of the man.

y the rules were changed only 4 murali ??? had the earlier strict rule of arms not bending more than 5 degrees, murali would have ended his career wd 400 wickets...

Greatest Ever Chucker !!!!

btw, did you know , that by the previous rule, the bowler whom we consider having sublime and clean action, glen mcgrath, would also fall into chucker category.

spo a person with a deformed arm should not play by your logic.

then i would say that joel garner should not have played because he was too tall or sachin should not have played as he is too short

Tamilian or Anyone
by LG on Jul 22, 2010 08:22 PM

Some people are so insecure in their lives that they want to be associated with the race, country, region, religion of a legend.

If they care so much about Tamilian or any particular region, race, country or relegion, then make it proud with your own deeds

Do not just try to get cheap publicity.

Very true. Muralidharan has become a part of cricketing folklore now. He deserves the record and can keep it for ever even after he is long gone from this world for there will be no one who can come anywhere near it. A special bowler, he had every delivery in his armory and could deceive any batsman on any pitch. As Wasim said, there will be never another Murali. He was and is unique, all his own.

It is like a Dog Barking at the Sun !!! No use...Read the article clearly,it created an optical illusion about bending his arm..
BioMechanics test performed on him proved that he is not a chucker !!

Congrats Murali !!!

True legends of Crickets
by LG on Jul 22, 2010 08:08 PM  | Hide replies

1. Bradman--highest average nobody will ever get there

2. Sachin--only batsman who is best in all form of games

3. Warne--the best finger spinner, we will not see another one like him

4. Murali--controversy aside, no one can break his records of 800 wickest, great spinner

5. Sobers--the best all-rounder played the game, our Kapil comes next in the list considering the pitched he bowled on, his fitness and talent

6. Viv Richards--the best aggressive batsmen who played faced Lille and Thomson without helmet. There will be many Haydens, Sehwags, and Jayasuryas, but no will ever be as daring as Viv Richards

These are true legends because they are unique in their own ways.

I agree with all of what u have put up. However u forgot to put up FAST BOWLERS ...

Many great quicks over the years...Larwood, Lindwall, Tyson, Trueman, Hall, Roberts, Lillee, Holding, Garner, Croft, Thomson, Ambrose, McGrath, Wasim, Waqar...but the best of them all was the late Malcolm Marshall, a complete fast bowler who could get wickets on even the deadest of wickets anywhere in the world. Hs has a amazing strike rate in Tests and possessed every delivery in his armory. At his peak (i saw him), he was virtually unplayable, one who could decimate any batting line up. Sad, he died young.

The best left arm fast bowler of all times has to be WASIM AKRAM and the best Wicket Keeper-Batsman, i feel, has to be the great ADAM GILCHRIST.

I agree with your estimate of SIR VIVIAN RICHARDS (saw him in prime), he was definitely the most aggressive batsman of all times, devastating, imperious, disdainful, dominating and audacious, he never allowed fast or spin bowlers to dominate him, he destroyed them anywhere on any pitch. Sachin himself is reported to have said this comment.

Viru Sehwag, when asked on comparision with Sir Viv, dismissed it telling Sir Viv was awesome and in a league of his own.

I understand the points your raised but are they unique; I mean can you say we will not see anyone better than them.

Maybe, Marshall deserve to be a Legend, but others like Gilly, Akram are greats but they are not unique in their own ways.

Then u forgot that Tamilnandu where tamilians are residing, is ruling by outsiders ( ur present CM and former both are hail from Karnataka), where as ur biggest super star is from Maharastra. Whether world depends on tamilians or not, but it is true that u depends on outsiders.

It is not matter whether u are a tamil or any other community, it matters wht type of person u are. And, it will take you to a next level. A shit like Prabhakar, got the right treatment, where as Murali, a wonderful human being, being treated as a legend. So, don't talk stupid things that tamil are best, if tamil are best then tamilnandu is not ruled by Kanandigas ( ur present CM and former both are from Karnataka, where as ur biggest super star is from Maharastra. Got the point. So, stop barking and accept the truth
