Ponting gets a 60 against a Pak team which hardly plays test cricket, and that too not in Pakistan. And hes been in really bad form of late.Tendulkar, even after 20 years, scored a classy 80 against murali on a 4th days pitch. While Ponting is good, Sachin is in a different league altogether. And for those people who call him the better batsman, let me remind him that his average against India is 20.25!! While sachins average against aussies like mcgrath, warne etc is 50 . Its a no contest all the way. Sachin is the best, followed by LAra, and then comes Dravid, kallis, ponting,Ganguly etc.

Ponting averages 47.02 vs India in tests. He averages 20.85 vs India in India. He has improved it in the last series vs India in India.Every batsman has some negatives.BTW SRT averages in th 30's vs South Africa both home and away. His average was even less before the recently concluded series vs South Africa in SA.Plz be rational and not biased.

Surely they will make it as they also had done in the past and they are again going to do it and thats not any surprise factor from them, its their never give up attitude which makes them really truly dedicated sport mens unlikely to india where indian citizens are making them god and giving them so much hype and money
