that's because Sreesanth could entertain them no more, because of the injury.
although indian bowling has failed, but not to take anything from lankan batsmans. They performed really well. they are in commanding position. Indian Bowling Line up has to be sorted out quickly otherwise the match is far away from indian hands. Stop the flow of runs. and take wickets or else hope for a draw
if Sreeshant and Zaheer not in then Why Munaf to sit and take drinks, Ishant has lost touch,in bowling,promotion and advertisment has gone into his knuckles, Throw him out and take Irfan,RP,Praveen,give them a chance too
Its really sad that why our board has sent Vijay & Raina.Bcoz our Batting Line up is sufficient to manage.But bowlers like Mithun is inexperienced of Test Cricket.Where r the bowlers RP Singh,Irfan Pathan(All rounder),Umesh,Balaji,Dinda,and the Nehra.
Since Zaheer Khan was ruled out due to injury and Sreesanth had to return back our bowling line got further weakened. We do not have the bench strength to take 20 wickets. Hence we should have changed the strategy.Instead if calling Abhimanyu Mithun we should have decided to take 9 batsman in the side and called Virat Kohli. We could have played Suresh Raina and Kohli too and and included only two bowlers in the side - Ishant and Harbhajan. Our part time bowlers including Sachin could have taken the bowling responsibility.
we will be lucky if manage to get all the ten wickets in the first innings ...the weather and the truncated play can help only india in saving the game...which is not likely to happen considering their first day showing.

Indian cricketers can only hope againt hope on the field; becoz off the field they know they can certainly reap rich rewards by way of endorsements,drinks..etc
