After the football fest,it seems most of the people(mostly young) coming to rediff forums have understood that cricket is a dwarf in front of football. The number of posts have reduced drastically in cricket related articles.Interest in cricket is waning. While football is patronised by nearly every country in the world, cricket is taken seriously by just 10 countries.

I lost all my interest in Football after seeing the WC final.Too much foul play and yellow or red cards. But overall it was a great entertainment.I am not interested in test cricket but T20 festivals like IPL will bring back the glory of cricket.

SEHWAG is only batsman in world cricket whose batting is very very exiting to watch just like watching a world cup football match. When he plays India definitely wins.
knowing ind's no. 1 test status, with due considerations that v dont hv even decent bowling line up at all. agreed v hv good batting line up (atleast for dead pitches) but without a decent bowling line up, how can v treat us as world champ team in test.
that shows ckt standard all over the world has deteriorated n v r andhonme kana maamaa
that if india stands any chance of winning than it has to be big scores from sachin/laxman and dravid with sehwag making useful quick runs... but like a lowlife politician he is not talking about seniors...

Hey arvin It has to be set by sehwag to be followed up by seniors. Ok if you are not happy with the statement let me correct it. " Of course he is the not the batsman we should rely on and he plays like an old man" rest of the guys have to bare his liabilty in the team" Dhoni should have made this statement to make people like you happy.
he is a mature guy. success or failure is a different thing but but he is really an intelligent professional. indeed what was lacking in ganguly is in abundance in dhoni.

Dhoni is good but Ganguly still is the greatest captain India has produced. Simply because he transformed a bunch of losers into winners...he took the team from the muck of match fixing close to being world beaters.
Dhoni is a worth successor, but he has got a good team, this team's nucleus was built by Ganguly.
Dhoni can overtake that if he keeps his own form and can captain as he has been doing.

i think bhajji holds the key, he has to click for india to win. u cant expect much from ishant in those conditions.this is going to be the weakest indian test bowling attack in recent memory.
