If 440 is to be chased then shahid will have a major role to play
by Prahalladha Rai on Jul 16, 2010 08:43 AM

It is a Mammoth target but a quick fire century from shahid Afridi will set Pakistan on course to victory.Shahid is known to score centuries in less than 40 balls.

shahid afridi is pure t20 player , he is not fit to be in 50 overs match and no question to be in test match and jokers (pcb) made him the captain of test match. wow

If Shahid Afridi curbs his temperament and rush of blood, he will go far in Test Cricket. That he has not has not gone so far is because of the factors mentioned. One cannot deny that he is an exceptional talent, all he needs to do is leverage it properly and nurse himself well while batting. He also has the aptitude to be a good captain, if he continues to lead the way he is doing as on now.

Pakistan has a good bowling line up, but its batting is a problem which Afridi himself acknowledged. In Tests, u need players with skills with experience to play an innings, only Yousuf and Younus could do that and they are not there.

The best batting line up Pak ever had was in 1970s when they had Majid Khan, Zaheer Abbas, AsiF Iqbal, Sadiq Mohd, Haroon Rashid. The 1990s too they had some fine players like Anwar, Aamir, Inzamam.

Seems the Pakis enjoy being butt_fukced by Aussies....otherwise 13th consecutive victory cannot be explained.

Pakistan will lose the match hands down. They dont have a good batting line up, something they are paying for dropping Younus and Yousuf, two players with real test temperament and class. U need experience to guide young talent in times like this, they are short of it.
