MODI ENTERPRISE

Mr. R.Ahluwalia,
Why are you trying to influence others? Money is not everything in life. Who is he to favour somebody and deprive someone? He has spoiled the essence of a great game. Talk to spectators who use to witness cricket matches in 60s, 70s and 80s. They will guide you. You are totally misguided and trying to misguide others

Gopal, whether one watches a test or a t20 game is a purely personal thing. One can't force one's opinion on others. You and I might like tests while others prefer odi's and t20. The point here is whether modi has flouted the rules or indulged in wrongdoings. If he is indeed guilty, ban him, punish him for sure, otherwise let him continue.

You are just stupid , who are favoring rascal lalit modi just to create brand like IPL with the help of lot of hidden hands of BCCI itself while increasing his bank balance and what about ICL , which was happen not more then two tournament without any hidden hand of support , and there was hand of only one great person , Mr Kapil Dev , i respect that person who never spoke about partiality of board towards ICL, Hats off to Mr Kapil Dev ji. And i weights that two events of ICL more then all events of IPL till now because that two events was organized by a single and honest person who wanted to give super talent to the nation and not wanted to increased only his bank balance but bluddy BCCI which wanted to run their own shop didn't digest it.

Kapil was a great player but otherwise he is dumb. In business you donot cry if you donot make it.
"IF and BUTS" donot work in business. Modi copied something and created a GIANT out of it. Thoug he claims to have the idea from 1996. Now modi should get into football and make another successful brand.
Other wise indian sports will be ruled by likes of GILL -Hockey and Suresh Kalmadi Olympics.

It can happen only in India. Jealous politicians and their slaves in BCCI, bay for the blood of the person who single-handedly developed the IPL through his hard work and efficiency.

Is every body equal before law?
by JGN on Jul 15, 2010 12:42 PM  | Hide replies

Does Indian Judiciary has two sets of laws - one for common people and the other for rich and powerful. I find normal court cases being dragged for decades whereas rich and powerful man like Modi gets his case decided within no time!

Fully agree. See the speed at which the Ambani dispute was decided by the Courts, whereas those who butchered one community of people in the 1984 are still roaming freely.

Modi a enterprnure
by Ranjit Ahluwalia on Jul 15, 2010 12:28 PM  | Hide replies

Modi is a very great enterneur who had taken Indian Cricket to GLobal level. Ask yourself, donn't you enjoy power. He must have a right to run the enterprise created by him in his own way. How a common man is affected, if he has taken some personal favors for giving contracts. Nothing is going out of any common man pocket. The people whom he may have favored or the people whom he have not favored, both are equally corrupt, thiefs and cheaters. I appeal Indian system not to destroy another talent of India who may re-shine after thrown away from India. After long time, we may cherish and take false pride that a Indian orign man has achieved this. Though this person may actually hate Indians at that time. THink again and find what wrong actually Modi has committed

Lalit Modi is one of the worst criminals of India. Check his full background in wikipedia (or any other site) ...
At 22 yrs of age:
1) caught for cocaine trafficking in the USA
2) caught for assault with deadly weapon
3) diluted his 2-year prison sentence ... returned to India
And if you want to take pride in his entrepreneurship, look wht he has achieved:
1) Created India's largest tobacco company
2) 10 year contract for ftv
3) lottery business in kerala

All these apart from his billion dollar ipl corruption ...
Please dont talk about cherishing and taking pride with such sort of criminals.

Modi has done everything bad that can be possibly done to cricket. We now have a lousy 3 hr fracas that kills the game. Cricket is a game that is played for 5 days and that is it. All other forms are just so lame.

Lalit Modi?
by Bala Sundaram on Jul 15, 2010 12:26 PM

I am baffled by the court decision. It has not gone into the merits of Modi's case but allowed the Disciplinary committe to reconstitute itself!I think the court should have either dismissed the petition completely or allowed his prayer and reconstituted the committee. Strange are the ways of justice to layman like me!

Such an Idiot....
by Sam on Jul 15, 2010 12:17 PM

He has no faith in the team that he's nurtured and cherished for so long. That's been the moral standards that he's set at IPL. Why would he fear a biased judgement had he brewed his team with superior ethical and moral standards? Did not he realize the implications of his deeds when he enjoyed power. Modi - lalit to be precise, not to be confused with honorable chief minister of the Gujrat state - to be hanged in public for his total, utter and complete disregard to 1. Indian Legal System, 2. the Love and respect the Indian masses have towards the game of Cricket.

Cheers,
