Why did Imran ignore Wasim?

Why does not naming him alongside Wasim make him proud? Is it because Wasim played under him?

I am a great fan of the legendary Imran Khan as well as the incomparable Wasim Akram.

Imran in his heydays was a aristocratic and proud cricketer who feared none and dictated terms on the field. He had an enviable aura which attracted scores and still does to date. A superb all rounder, magnificent fast bowler, a gutsy batsman and a handy fielder, he was a cricketer's cricketer. As captain, he had few peers and the respect he commanded was something exceptional, he earned them on own without asking for it. It was he who took Pakistan to heights and pulled it out of the rather on and off brilliance that it is famed for. Sadly since his and Wasim's departure, Pakistan has not been the same force, they are two of the world greatest ever cricketers who come once in a lifetime. It was my pleasure to watch them both in their prime. Thanks Immy for all the fun and memories.

Why do u take that slip up as an affront to the great Wasim? He must have forgotten the same,a genuine human slip up, but that does not mean that Imran has no respect or love for Wasim. He has the greatest of respect for Wasim Akram and had hailed him as two of the most talented fast bowlers in the 20th century, other being the great Micheal Holding of West Indies. In addition, the two are the greatest of mates as well.

And Another critic one of Imran's best pal is none other than Sunil Gavaskar!
Well a master does not have to name his protege, he names guys whom he competed with not nurtured! Wasim, a guy picked by Miandad and nurtured by Khan is another evidence what a master craftsman can do to a jewel! That is the reason when Wasim speaks he always mentions Khans name! Waqar was directly picked by Khan! rest is history!

The great Khan of Cricket! Best exponent of reverse swing! A man revered by opposition more than his own side! By both being Aristocratic and autocratic he lead the Pakistani talent to amazing victories! The best allrounder of his time! A playboy for whom girls fell like dominos! I loved his statement that he feels proud to be amongst Hanif and Javed! He had an amazing professional rivalry with Javed which greatly benefited Pakistan Cricket! His protege Wasim (selected by Miandad) and Waqar & Aaqib(both selected by him) and Inzi! Its said after Inzi played couple of balls from Wasim and Waqar Imran had famously said "i have found a Vivian for Pakistan". He proved that in 1992 world cup and through out his career to be a true match winner!
