Same with Ponting, he is white skinned...too fair than Dhoni. Again, Dhoni is lucky here, he is too lucky to have the skin color that is apt to get the best endorsement deals.
Brand Endorsement costs are unnecessary overheads. Instead they can sell the product cheaper by using creative advertisements and innovative marketing techniques like free samples, door-to-door campaigns etc. In a hero-worshipping nation, the brand ambassador cost may be peanuts for the company when viewed against the results, but then the brand ambassador should be accountable for the quality of the products. If researches prove that Pepsi has high pH and can cause diseases, the Brand Ambassador should be made to compensate the users legally. The law should make it legally binding for the Brand Ambassador to be accountable for the consequences too. Also, people should rise above these cheap gimmicks of Brand Ambassador endorsed products and should evaluate the quality of the product and buy after that.

I agree with you in toto. If a person accepts money to endorse a product he is obviously liable to face the consequences in case of a misinformation or any mishaps. Accountability has to be there by all means.
