Yah, you mean he is no.1 in ODI ranking by sheer luck. If he is so lucky then may be he doesn't even need to play to be retain no.1.
well in 1999 sachin was no 1 odi ranking player wid 947 points in 2000 ganguly was no 2 odi ranking wid 914 points now dhoni is at no 1 wid just 807 points qwality of batting has really reduced

Alexandre was the king, so was Akbar and Ashok.....so all did had same capabilities and skill. Did all had the same army to command? Did all had the same area they captured? So what do you mean by this comment that higher the point, better the batter!
Doesn't this means, that the bowlers have grown sharper by the advent of technology, where every move of the batsmen are scrutinized? Sachin, Saurav are great player.....and so is Dhoni. he has taken India to a pinnacle. Apex of world cricket. He commands the team thru leading by example. Do not write such hasty comments that doesn't have any sense at all. Better go back to work, if you have.

I can't understand why the media is comparing SACHIN and DHONI ?. Dhoni is nothing infront of Sachin. big big zero. If Dhoni is having guts let him win 2011 world cup..let him blast double century in any one of the world cup match. at least let him enter into semifinal. Dhoni is good captain when all the players are in good form. DHONI is big zero infront of SACHIN, RAHUL DRAVID, KAPIL DEV, ANIL KUMBLE, SRINATH etc. U can immagine now what the hell he has done against SRILANKA PRESIDENT ELEVEN by keeping the bowlers like Ishanth Sharma / Abhimanyu Mithun etc..When the players are performing well DHONI is great captain with the influence of good players, otherwise he is big big zero.

SKM, if he does win the WC, would he be better than Sachin then? Of course we can win this world cup, having a strong batting line up and benefitted with home conditions. But we don't have quality bowlers. Zaheer is ok, Nehra and Parveen Kumar are just ok ok and Bhajji is unpredictable. We don't have bowlers who the batsmen could be afraid of; likes of Malinga, Bolinger, Steyn etc. Our fielding is also a point of concern. It's pathetic. Our down order cosisting of Jadeja, Kumar, Khan, nehra looks the worst in all big teams. But still, if Khan, Kumar and Nehra could be fit completely, we can make this world cup ours!

DHONI's guts says he will be thrown out (trashed out) from the Indian team with in couple of years. DHONI is great captain with the influence of good players, otherwise he is big big zero. That is why he won T20 world cup. That fantastic team was generated by SAURAV GANGULY and RAHUL DRAVID. Because of SACHIN's influence DHONI become captain. If Dhoni is having guts let him win 2011 world cup..let him blast double century in any one of the world cup match. at least let him enter into semifinal. He don't have any common sence to get or select or produce good talented players. He was enjoying because of GANGULY and DRAVID generated team. What was sachin doing all these years? from 1989 to 2010. he didn't win a single world cup for India in spite of being the so called best batsman in the world. Dhoni won the 20/20 cup while sachin was happily sleeping at home. In fact India won the cup because Dhoni, luckily didn't have the valuable suggestions from Sachin

Well, Sachin didn't win a world cup for India. In fact he never performed up to his 'Standards?' in a key match. It took 20 years for sachin to score the double century, that too under Dhoni's captaincy. Dhoni is just 7 years into cricket. As for the big zero barbs, they are not substantiated. Dhoni's batting average as a captain is far better than any of the other players including Sachin.
