The top three Indian bowlers, Zak, Nehra, Sree all got injured. Ishant is inexperienced and not sure if he can deliver. Irfan would have been a better choice not because he bowls better than Munaf but just because he has aggressive attitude than Munaf.
Why don't they just go with one pacer and three spinners, Ishant, Bhajji, Mishy, Ojha? Selection committee should have called up Murali Karthik. Call me insane, but we don't have any threatening pacer honestly. If we go with one pacer and three spinners, who would open the bowling with Ishant? There is not Dada any more who could bowl medium early on and pass on that soft ball to spinners. Can India hold on to its No.1 test ranking?

My dear...Vinay Kumar played in lot of Ranaji matches and few one day matches. He is one of the talented bowler. You might have seen his bowling in Zimbabwe tour. I can't understand wht the selectors are selecting useless Munaf Patel ?

My dear, they picked Mithun already, who appears to be faster than Vinay Kumar, who is more of a bowler in limited overs. Have not seen Mithun playing either but heard he bowls faster than Vinay
