We will all miss Murali the legend very much
by Sameer Bhagwat on Jul 13, 2010 09:07 AM

Best bowler ever
Best at doosra
Best at generating huge spin
Best at control
Best at economy
Best at out-thinking the batsmen
Best in fielding: he is almost an all-rounder
Best at strike rate
Best gentleman

We will miss you, Murali. We pray to Bhagavan that you complete 800 test wickets before you retire. Take 16 wickets and spin India out to an innings defeat.

Greatest of all time - Muralidharan
by pradeep subramanian on Jul 09, 2010 01:13 PM  | Hide replies

Muralidharan is undoubtedly the greatest bowler of all time... a gem always shines whether it is in winning team or losing team.

Sharne Warne is nothing in front of this shining star Muralidharan.

don't get fooled by India media. They just want to lick white man's *ss.

Only in their imagination is Shane Warne a good bowler. The drug cheat and womanizer is no better than a run-of-the-mill Ranji spinner.

Shane warne has taken 709 wickets in test matches. Name one bowler who has taken 700 wickets in Ranji matches.
Sameer, you seem to be a born loser.

because, what murali does is not bowling - its throwing, infact its not even throwing !! its weirdly something not related to cricket. surprisingly, this chum succeeded in fooling the whole cricket fraternity from start to end.

the other half hand chucker also comes from srilanka - malinga the half hand thrower...

ICC cannot do anything because all asians are shouting racism racism. thats why all decisions are supporting sri lankans even if murali is king of chuckers

ICC is not god. and now with sharad pawar - we can say it will only get corrupt.

leave the ultimate beneficiary srilankans and you will know half the world do not think he bowls. he sure is not a bowlder but something very near to thrower - chucking is still a little elite for him.

MALINGA is not a bowler either. he is a half hand thrower too. Reason why all his deliveries are flat to the pitch and remain low !!

they both are the blot on cricket and sport as a whole.

Saqlain is the greatest
by Agrahara Gopinath on Jul 09, 2010 11:54 AM  | Hide replies

Great to see Saqlain praising Murali. But to me,Saqlain was the greatest of all.He was the inventor of Doosra.Murali and Bhajji picked from him.If Saqlain had continued in Pakistan team he would have surely got heaps of wickets by this time. But due a lapse in the form and unpredicatble Pakistan board Saqlain lost his place in the team. Can't forget that classical 2 match test series b/w India and Pakistan in 1999.Saqlain was at his devastating best in that series

Yes, it is nice to see Saqlain praising Murali. Saqlain was a great bowler. But Saqlain was not the inventor of Doosra. The name came into existence because of him, after Tony Greig noticed Moin asking him to bowl Doosra.

But our own Jasu Patel bowled it in 1959, Sonny Ramadhin, who played for the West Indies, bowled it in the 1950s. Many others have done it earlier.
