Not fan of Pawar but...

this was a good response to the standard response of the Australian govt about attacks on Indians there. They always say there is no racist angle. Similarly, no racist angle here. Good.

Boost To Indian Ego
by Anoop Ravindran on Jul 08, 2010 04:57 PM  | Hide replies

Now lets see who pushes who off stage for the world to see. As an Indian & not commenting on his political policies, I think its a proud moment for us. I was with Shri Pawar the day after he returned from Singapore after taking charge. He was watching the nation debating the whole ruckus on Times Now & not for a second did he have an iota of ego in him!

I think Shri Pawar should give up his Minister seat first so poor Indians can get proper food supply. He is doing very bad job there.

He should retire now and give chances to Young generation to be part of BCCI.

Yeah Right and Pawar's election was solely based on merit. Crap. BCCI bullied it's way in the election. You don't need octopus baba to predict or tell this.

We are powerful in cricket as well as we beat AUS in CB series and almost won the test series if AUS team have played in the right spirit.

Cricket - Boring game of the worl
by avelino mendonca on Jul 08, 2010 12:17 PM  | Hide replies

After watching football it will be a pain to watch cricket. I was a cricket fan but not now after watching football. This is a truly great game played by all the countries and their individual players are more famous in the world then the US president. In cricket the players are famous only in 8 to 10 countries and that also by 1/4 of the population of that country. BAN CRICKET FOR GOOD AND LETS PLAY FOOTBALL

Have you seen a cricketer cry in pain or patriotism after losing a match..cricket is just a game..not a sport.

Cricket is a profession and money making business. It is not at all a game or a sport. now a days the overdose of international cricket is attracting huge money so Mr. Pawar has joined cricket.

Cricket is played by 8 countries (India, Australia, Pakistan, Srilanka, NZ, WI, SA and England). All other countries are minnows just to add the numbers. 80% of cricket money comes from India. Thats why India rules cricket.

Football is played by 200 countries all over the world and only 32 strongest teams qualify for WC. Please mind that our country of 120 crore people, never had been among these top 32 teams.

But watching WC football and WC Hockey (90-120 minutes)is the real delight for the eyes rather watching commercials(cricket) for 8 hours everyday.
