Once a chucker, always a chucker..
by Junior Shelly on Jul 08, 2010 11:18 PM  | Hide replies

It is a fact that, the 15 degrees bent was allowed by the ICC to accomodate chuckers like Murali, Harbhajan and Saqlain. All the three bowlers still bowl with a bent arm, and straightens it while delivering the ball. The BCCI's financial might allowed and still allows bowlers especially those from the sub-continent to bowl with bent arm and blatantly make a mockery of basic cricket laws.
No matter what his personal life was, Shane Warne is undoubtedly the most deserving bowler to keep the record. He had to compete with one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time to get those wickets. On the other hand, Murali bowled almost 35 to 40 overs per innings to get those wickets, and failed on most ocassions to help his team to win. Warne has bowled his team to victory on numerous ocassions, and helped in making the Australian team the greatest of all time.

you foreigners cant digest the fact that the world's greatest batsmen and bowlers have born in the Indian Subcontinent. You are blaming murali, harbhajan and saqulain now and will later blame sachin tendulkar as none of your batsmen has the potential or caliber to match the master. You are all bloody hypocrites.

Exactly Trushil. I am from Pakistan, when they cannot see clear edges being not given by umpires, how the hell can Emerson say he did not bend it accurately? he had to see bowler not stepping the line, fielding and so many things! grapes are sour Mr Emerson.
Worlds greatest batsmen are from Sub continent Tendu, Laxmans, Dravids, Inzi, Miandads, bowlers like Kapil, Imran, Wasims, Waqars and Shoiabs. If Warne is something then his guru Abdul Qadir was his dad and kept the art alive when Aussies were bowling under-arm to win matches! remember the Chappel affair? maximum viewer ship is here as well. Inventors of cricketing skills are here Doosra, Teesra, reverse Swing!
Grapes are sour Emerson! Warne is good! no doubt but Murali is ahead of him.

hey Junior Shelly --- tards like you should stop posting. murali is what sachin is for india .. a ONE man army.

Warne bowled fewer overs because he had world class bowlers to apply pressure on other end.

Not taking anything from warne though. To me he is a better bowler than murali just because he has a clean action

Warne's record is tainted too!
by bimlesh mishra on Jul 08, 2010 09:57 PM  | Hide replies

Warne was caught taking performance enhancing drugs and banned for an year. His record is as tainted as Murali.

In fact Warne aslo made money through the bookies whcih was hushed up by Cricket Australia.

Murali has been cleared by the ICC. So doesnt matter what some aussie idiot thinks of him.

Very correct! I agree with you. Just because an Aussie scoundrel tells something about Murali with an ulterior motive nobody should believe them.

I dont understand why Ross cant understand that the world of cricket has shown him his right place, he should refrain from passing such comments in future or else as a partin note maybe Murli should chuck couple of doosra up Ross' A** as ross is so full of s**t.

Shun Short-sight

Like most issues in this world, this issue has 3 viewpoints - Affirmative point, negating point and the right viewpoint.. You can either be jingoistic and cry/combust about the fact that Murali is still doubted for chucking like what Ranatunga, most Srilankans and Asians do...

Or you can claim moral high ground and say that Murali appears to be chucking and hence he is a chucker.. If it is so, even Lee, Tait, Akhtar and Malinga appears to be chucking.. If our eyes are the only judge, then above mentioned fast bowlers are culprits as well..

The right way is what Murali adopted.. Subject himself to scientific experiment under simulated conditions and prescribed stipulations and prove to the world that he is not chucking..

If people still raise their doubts despite that Murali has proved it so many times, then it proves the short-sightedness and rigidity of the people involved.

Shun your myopia and you will see how great a bowler and how great a man Murali is..

Aussies are descended from convicts and rogues. Shows in everything they do.

Murali is too much of a gentleman to hit back at these uncouth "sour grapes" comments.
