australian team mentally disintegrated
by Sunil Vaidya on Jul 07, 2010 11:12 AM  | Hide replies

The decline of the australian cricket team can be traced back to the famous monkey-gate incident. Since then Australian cricket started going down steadily. The Australian team was severely criticized by all cricket nations and cricket lovers. After their equaling steve waugh’s record of consecutive test wins they had to face a barrage of criticism from everybody, not only from other cricketing nations and cricket lovers but even Australian citizens themselves were highly critical of aussie team’s behaviour and highly ashamed of their national cricket team. Stung by all this criticism (from abroad as well as home) and the result of harbhajan-symmonds fight, the australian cricket team and particularly symmonds mentally disintegrated. Symmonds mentally disintegrated in his personal life also.

In fact Indian team needs characters like harbhajan. The Indian teams of the last century were perceived to be soft in their approach. One of the main reasons of strong performances of Indian team in this decade has been the aggression shown on the field by the Indian players. The Indian players of this decade have all played aggressively with the bat and the ball as well as with their tongues. These players don’t accept shit from their opponents anymore and give it right back to them. Harbhajan is one of such players and many more such players should play for india. The results are there for all to see. It is in this decade that india has been accepted as a strong force in all the formats and have been no. 1 in all these at some point of time.

raj arora, don't write crap. you have nothing to argue so you are writing some nonsense. you have not refuted any of my statements or even tried to. See the australian record from the monkey-gate incident and tell me. tell me what is australian test record from last 16 tests upto the monkey gate test. and tell me australian record for next 16 tests after the monkey gate test. similarly for odi's and T20s. how many of the 3 T20 WC have aus won? you claim symmnonds is a ''gentle man'' can you write something which proves that he is so. how exactly you made up your mind that symmonds is ''gentle man''? also i have written about harbhajan and the incidents he got involved in and how he is not to be blamed in that. can you give me your view as to how harbhajan is wrong in all those incidents?

also regarding your above post, is that intended for me? i don't see how my lack (or otherwise) of travel is related to my argument in any way. i have made no statements about australian racism, beatings etc. if that message was intended for shashank then please reply to him directly or if there is some problem in that (like no reply button being available in your browser or moderator deleting your reply or whatever) please write 'shashank' at the start of your post, so one can understand clearly whom you are addressing.

SV:

You are 100% right.

If not for the decline they wouldn't have been #1 in ODIs by only 12 points, and #3 in Tests with 5 points behind #1.

The story would have again been #1 in ODIs with 40 points lead on #2 and #1 in Tests with another 30 points lead over #2 or something similar.

Their decline is also evident from the fact that they couldn't win the first four places in the Champions Trophy and had to be content with only the #1 spot.

And finally, their decline is absolutely and finally visible through their recent Indian tour where we actually won a few matches against them...

And the height of it all is that they are declining despite having world's most experienced and dominant players in the last decade such as Doug Bollinger, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Hauritz, Tim Paine, etc.

AP:

thanks for agreeing with me. this is one of the rare occasions when we are of the same opinion.

you gave quite a few instances in support of my argument. i would like to add to them.

their decline is also evident from the fact that since the monkey gate incident they played 6 tests against india and actually managed to draw 3 of them.

their decline is also evident from the fact that after winning the last T20 WC, they white washed england 5-0 in one dayers and pakistan by 2-0 in T20.

their decline is also evident from the fact that ponting is one the way of creating a record of winning three consecutive ashes series, (where no other australian captain before him had gone)

Their decline is also evident from ponting's statement that after the series against england he may have to search for another job.

raj arora, are you being funny? symmonds and gentle man??!! everybody knows how ''gentle man'' symmonds is. as for harbhajan he has been more sinned against than being sinned. how many incidents do you know when harbhajan has started/initiated a fight? lets take a few incidents that he has been involved in. lets start with the symmonds incident. the actual skirmish was between brett lee and harbhajan. brett delivered a good ball and harbhajan acknowledged it with a pat on lee's back. lee shrugged it off and walked back to the bowling crease. the exchange was between these two players and nobody else needed to interfere. but symmonds didn't like this friendly gesture of harbhajan (as he thought that on the field everybody must act like opponents and there shouldn't be any friendly exchanges) and intervened quite unnecessarily and started it all. he even admitted before the investigation committee all this, that he was the one who started the fight and even used the word 'f--k'. should any person and a punjabi at that take that lying down? if harbhajan retaliated with his choicest curse what was wrong in it? raj, do some serious research on symmonds and you will find how ''gentle man'' he is.

The other incident involving harbhajan is with sreesanth. Again it was sreesanth who started it. Sreesanth’s bad behaviour and irreverence is known to all. This time he acted fresh with a senior player like harbhajan and got what he deserved.

The next incident is when a photgrapher’s camera hit harbhajan’s turban and harbhajan raised his hand to push that camera away. What is wrong in it? Raj, if something hits your head what would be your reaction ? Would you not raise your hand, catch it and push it away? That incident was shown many times on tv and I have watched it. I even heard what the photographer in question had to say about it. The photographer himself admitted on the channel that his camera hit harbhajan’s turban accidentally, and harbhajan merely pushed that camera away. According to the photographer himself harbhajan did not do anything to him.

I think Watto s rested as he the only one playing all the formats nonstop..

Reg. Bollinger, they have a combination of Tait and Nannes for T20's and may they dont want to disturb it.. Douggie is almost the best bowler in the England series and its unfair on him to sit in bench.. May be he d ve made a difference..

Is Bollinger there in T20 squad for Australia? Wastson not injured but rested.
It seems Australia not giving importance to these T20 series or considering this Pakistan outfit as average.

PAK Started...who will stop?
by cricsecular on Jul 07, 2010 04:00 AM  | Hide replies

PAK Started...who will stop? I sensed when they made Afridi as captain. As long as they play its very difficult to stop them even they played well in Asia Cup, WT20. They must have made Afridi as captain before they went to NZ and Aus last year, any how Cricket is still going to be very interesting when PAK is in form.

I have been watching Boycottables (you arrogants-you never played T20 how can you know the real feeling of it), Speeds (you damn stop your racisms), Chapples (Chapple kae marrow-stop your backbitings, I know PCB approached you), Howards (a real coward), etc. of support towards White teams while blinded against others especially a great team like PAKISTAN (except misPCBmanagement, I support PAK though I am secular Indian).
The real culprit here is the PCB (even not Ijaz Butt the entire employess) who consistently changed the teams and letting team to fall inconsistent.
Enough is enough. Let Afridi, Waqar, Izaz continue for a longer time and bring back Younis and Yousuf and see all the other teams are going to get thrashed with Amer, Asif, Akthar, Ajmal, Afridi, Akmals. People make mistakes (PCB and Players) lets forgive and move on, World Cup 2011 is yours, pls remember people are there who regularly prays for PAK'
fallouts, JUST STOP THEM. -A SECULAR CRICKET LOVER-

Yes he seems to be an expert in ball smelling, ball chewing, ball licking, ball eating, ball tampering like all other paki cheaters. The best being Wasim and Imran Khan.

Pak is only good for gully cricket ie 20-20. They will get whipped in the Tests.
