A Mithun is not the right choice for Zaheer Khan...Vinay Kumar could have been picked..He is better economical/wicket taking bowler compared to Mithun..Even Kulkarni / Sudeep Tyagi/ Manpreeth Goni are better than Mithun in test cricket.
he is scared of Sri Lanka and is hiding from test matches.
He will get cured "miraculously" in time for the ODIs. Just playing ODIs and IPL is enough to rake in the moolah, so why bother about playing real cricket??
Same goes for Yuvrag. The only reason Yuvrag is playing now is to make his way back to the ODI squad, otherwise he is scared of test cricket and has no use for it.

Let it be Sachin playing/resting, RJ, Tamil players, Player resting, Player injured, Some player selection, Someplayers ommision and all the other things..
Its pure fun to insult othere right!!! Though we dont have the stamina or talent enough to represent the team!!!

Nehra is good for T-20 and ODI only. But A.Mithun is poor choice. How can you give a test cap to a player who played very few first class matches and his record is not awesome.
Selector srikant is a fool without any sense of direction.. he does not apply his mind ....and he is letting some proven talent on continent go waste without proper trial and chance.. and he is trying new talent who are not so good and wud take more time to mature and wud not be ready as back up for world cups... srikant, the fool shud try tested talents like Irfan now either it is for test or ODI.. world cup is going to be held in continent ...srikant sir... try Irfan or Munaf before it is too late for the back up alongwith srisanth... for now forget people like mithun or other new ones who cannot be ready for world cup back up strength..

this selection process is pre planned don't think o much over this issue,selectors r not thinking from point of view of world cup,they consider quota system,leave it.

Kulkarni also selected for New Zealand tour last year, but he didn't get a chance to play
