Why Dhoni met Rahul Gandhi instead of going for his Honeymoon ( which he would have already been enjoying for a long time). He got married Vasundra Raje's Farm House. He must have realised his blunder. It should have occured to him earlier that getting married at a BJP leaders farm house means exit from Indian Team. So he quickly met Rahul to safe guard his wicket. Very smart person. he is safe, Congress or BJP govt, makes no difference.
