Exact Judgement
by khankhan on Jul 05, 2010 07:37 PM  | Hide replies

Veeru never played for his own record as others- once he decide to gear his bat blowers not easily succeed against him. Most of the time India victorious due to his contribution whereas we know about others. For an example for the satisfaction of Ambani Tendulkar played IPL final with sitches and he need rest when country needs him, is this is the patriotism !!!!!!!!

Mr khankhan please keep your advice with you. To comment on Sachin you have to be on top of him which you can never do if though you take N number of birth on this earth.
By saying this do you mean to say that Indian team cannot win without Sachin.....at the same time this T20 world cup will come every year so dont be so disheartened we will have lots of chance to win that and remember in first T20 world cup there was no Sachin. Your name suggests that you are not a true Indian otherwise you wouldn't have blamed Sachin.

Classic Opening Combination

Desmond Haynes with Gordon Greenidge and Marsh with David Boon were the best patner combinations to remember in cricket history so far.

A deffinate platform to "eye" for indian coach job......sure he is betting on that.....no sensible world class opening batsman will appreciate the kind of technic and temperament of sehwag.....only "chamchagiri" will get u near the indian coach job, nothing else.....haynes is a smart fellow..

then this statement doesent suite for desi....everyone knows how sehwag plays....he is "in between" kind of player...neither great and nor an average player.....remember how haynes lost his indian coach job to greig chappel early....this time he is taking a cautios approach....praising indian players and making a good will impresion....kirstein term will end soon...

Sunil, your comments shows your cheap cum hollow thinking and knowledge of the game. Who cares for what u say. Viru is one of the most exciting batsmen the world has ever seen. Mind it, he has not just Haynes as a fan, but also other legends like Gordon Greenidge, Sir Vivian Richards, Sir Gary Sobers, Sir Ian Botham, Ian and Greg Chappell, Imran Khan, Rameez Raja, etc, as well.

That u are cheap is as well can be made out from the saying that Desmond Haynes, one of the legends of the game is currying favors from our Board. He does not need any for he has enough money of his own and is well off. Shame on you.

foolish fellow....living in his own world...wakeup and understand the reality....these days every "retired" cricketer is choosing an "alternative" cricketing job and and money comes in terms og "dollers"....west indian cricket board isnt as rich as BCCI and there are no takers for haynes job.....money rich BCCI pays "rich" to coaches, there is no secrate in this....he lost this job very narrowly to chappel earlier....now he is in need of that job...very soon u come to know the truth after WC 2011 when kirsten's term comes to an end....have some "common sense" to know the things in indian cricketing scene....dont comment like an "idiot"....and dont have a "blind" appreciation for sehwag, not as great as sachin and dravid...poor foot work and not great against short pitch deliveries are his trade mark.....a flat pitch bully...cant play more than 5 overs on a seamers friendly pitch....sit n watch dravid and sachin wat's great batsmenship is all abt....

Hello dude.. Viru is a great player and there is nothing wrong ini a player telliong it.. Even in flat tracks, it is very tough to score at more than run a ball for entire innings.. Viru is a treat to watch.. The way he plays in tests is awesome.. There are so many hitters in the world.. But all are not capacle of playing long innings..

With his style of play, he gives his team some extra time to play for!! He is really a genius..

He is the one player who can make even a t20 fans to watch in test matches..

U need to do that. That u cannot do that is obvious from your comment. U need to come out of your closed mindset to appreciate genuine appreciation from a legend.

Most Indians fans are idiotic with very little knowledge of the game. They always get confused by test and ODI stats and compare wrongly. As far as test cricket stats & performamces goes Sehwag is on par with Sachin and Dravid and of late most of the
wins have been set up by sehwag. he is by far the best opener tat India had in a log time and he set ups very good platform for the rest of the middle order to cash in. Wake up guys and get some knowledge of the game rather be crabs in the well always cribbing.

have some crickting knowledge and abt "batsmen ship"...know a thing abt subcontinent batting paradises and swinging and seaming conditions of english pitches....where was this "sehwag" when dravid single handedly anchoring the inningses on these kind of pitches in test matches....indian onerseas great test victories on a bowling friendly pitches are mainly due to the great inningses of rahul dravid than anyone else....this fellow sehwag when he sees a bit of grass on aoitch, looses interest, throws his bat at will gets out and sits in the dressing room....cant even spend 5 good overs under such conditions, in the last decade dravid is a "virtual opener" for team india.....now sehwag for the last 2 years showing some improvements but again on flat batting pitches.....but it is "goutham gambir" who is realy developing into a
world class opener....all these years it's "rahul dravid" who is taking a big burden on himself for indian solid batting displays....seh wag plays here n there...but it's working for team india

My theory about Indian fan still holds and Sunil K's statement is the best example. He is exactly the kind of moronic average Indian fan who lacks knowledge. He is talking about Sehwag not being able to play on grass/seaming pitches.
Sehwag averages 50 in tests and you don't get that kind of great avg. by just playing on subcontinent.
he scored centuries in SA, ENG, AUS, NZ which pretty much covers the entire seaming/swinging conditions.

Bowling conditions ll frighten Sehwag???

See his debut innings...
He opened batting in England conditions dude.. Thats what sacrifice is.. He has never opened in tests ieven in local matches and if he has courage to face the new ball in England conditions, it speaks about his talent and confidence.. U cant force a batsman to do it.. Courage cant be created.. It shd be within!!

wake up kid....it's "rahul dravid's" epic all time great innigs of 220 against AUS that brought the famous win for team india....dravid scored 220 in first innings and 75 not out in 2nd innings to score the winning run....sehwag was no where in the scene....have some cricketing knowledge...

Sunil.. Dont underestimate Viru's contributions.. He is surely on par with Dravid, Sachin.. He sets up a match.. Just think.. For a century, at an average rate,
Sachin - 160 balls
Dravid - 200 balls
Viru - 110 balls and that too his slow century..

Now, he gives atleast 50 balls which is around 35 mins to the players to make a match of it.. To play with strikerate above 80 and averaging 50 is not that easy and it requires special talent to do it!! That is Viru..

Desi was a famous player in his heydays forming a super opening pair with Gordon Greenidge. He was a part of that famous Windies team of the 1980s when they ruled the roost. In Sir Viv Richards they had a batter who could destroy any bowling attack and flay at will. Then they had a fearsome quartet of bowlers in Roberts, Holding, Garner, Croft, Marshall, Daniel. They were all great quicks and that team was the best in history.

What he said abt Viru is 100% correct, Viru is like King Richards who can massacre any bowling attack on his day and dictate terms.

surprise to hear this frm haynes.....since he him self played the most extreamly high quality pace attack of world cricket, he knows a thing or 2 abt opening batsmanship....but sehwag and his technic and temperament against quality pace attack on a seaming pitch isnt the thing which needs to be appreciated at international level.....on a flat subcontinent pitches he plays like a king....if there is enough pace and movement, he is gone without a trace, doesent like to fight it out in the middle, gets out and sits in the dressing room, leaving the tough task to Mr. dravid.....sure desi is "eyeing" for indian coache's job....this is a platform that he is creating...."being a "chacha" of players..noyhing else..
