Whole controversy could have been avoided...
by Prowler M on Jan 29, 2010 01:34 PM  | Hide replies

If only all the pak players appear on their national TV, tell the public as to how state sponsored terrorism is giving all pakistanis a bad name and apologize for it. Then IPL and India will welcome them with open arms. Even Shiv Sena itself will provide body guards to them to protect them from the pseudo secular congress goons..... then...

Plz anyone tell Mr.Afridi to at least win one match against aussie then think abt IPL.Funny they r more concerned abt playing in IPL than winning for their country.

if Pakistan focusses on the current series with Aus ( test loss 3-0, ODI 3-0) instead of straining themselves about commercial matters beyond their control.

Are you sure that the money earned by the pakistani players will not end up in the treasury of some charity trust that finances the terrorists? when Pakistani players perform namaz even during play, what can one expect from them.is it not like financing our killers. Why can't Sharukh give that much money in to War Widow Fund.

IPL fiasco could have been avoided: Afridi
by mallajosyula senior on Jan 29, 2010 01:15 PM

Who the hell is Afridi to talk about organizers and franchises of IPL? They felt not have Pakis they did not hire them. It is their money and hence their will. It is the big mistake of Home minister to talk some unnecessary nonsense which allowed Pakis to talk as they like. The way they are playing in Australia no one will hire them.Pakis want Indian money still talk rubbish.

Mr. Afridi go and talk this to your terrorist brothers
by Harish Save on Jan 29, 2010 01:13 PM

Mr. Afridi don't teach us what to do and what not. Instead talk to your terrorist brothers about consequences before they do any shameful act against humanity.

If sports would have had the magic to breed frienship and harmony among the people, than why it has not worked for so many decades? This kind of bold step to boycott for ever all Pakistani sportsmen and other artists should have been taken at the time of partition only.

Very unfortunate to hear home minister saying in an TV interview that he would love to see pakistani players play in IPL. Organizers of IPL have done, what Government should have done. So if our leaders do not have guts to take these kinds of bold steps, than they should at least support the organisations which have guts to do so. If they can not do this small thing also, than at least they should keep their mouth shut.

What is Afridi saying "One step forward from them would see us going ten steps to make the event a success. It would not only had improved cross-border relations..." Improved cross-border relationships? why didn't this happen for so many decades. Pakistan is a failed Nation; Agree with you that Government should have taken such steps much earlier.
