I have seen Mithun bowl to Punjab bastmen in Mysore. He bowled a steady pace & bounce which troubled the Punjab batsmen who were hopping around in crease. He has that natural rhythm to lift the deliveries from goodlength like Andy Roberts. I wish Mithun every sucess against the South Africans. Even if he does not succeed he is a lad to be looked on a long term. I am sure he will be nasty on non sub-continent pitches. Very pleased with selectors to identify the potential in him. Good luck Mithun eager to watch you bowl in Nagpur test.
Let God give you all the strength to excel in your cricket and also silence the so called experts like man (who themselves may be failures) but waste their time on silly comments in others
20 years ago we had found sachin ramesh tendulkar a cricketing genious, but why selectors are not interested in onther genious like cheteswar pujara??? this boy has spark i have seen in his game...and i am sure if chance is given he will not let india down....so plz selectors wake up...

Cheteshwar finished as the Under-19 World Cup's highest scorer with 349 runs at an average of 116. He'd already displayed his hunger for big scores with a triple-century against Baroda at Under-14 level, a 211 against England Under-19, and 145 for Saurashtra in just his second first-class match. In the World Cup, his 97 against West Indies and unbeaten 129 against England - an almost faultless one-day innings - took him to the top of the run-charts

Thank you Mr.K.A. for enlightening us more on Mr.Cheteswar Pujara. He looks very promising. May God Bless him and get him a chance in Team India... Amen
All the Best Mithun. We all are with you and with your family. Make India proud and make your family proud too. The article is very emotional... I liked it. Best of Luck Mithun.... Jai Hind - Jai Maharashtra
Its too early a debut for mithun. The lad has not been fully tested. He is quick owing to shoulder strength, but his action is just not smooth. He only knows to hit the deck, and dosent use his head ! I hope they dont destrory a promising bowler with early exposure. He needs at least 2 full domestic season, with a couple of international tours with the India A team.

Practice makes the man perfect. Let him expertise... If he is really a good bowler he will come up on his own strength.

s i agree. compared to other bowlers like sreesanth, munaf, nehra etc mithun will do for better
Looks like omission of Dinesh Karthik may have to do with tussle between Shewag and Dhoni. But still I do not think it is end of road for him. He has the quality to bounce back even as a batsman. I think he gets confused as to what way he has to pursue his career? Either as a wicket keeper batsman or just concentrate as a batsman. By the way selection of Saha is a good move. They should have tried Manish Pandey also. Omission of Kaif is also puzzling. Definitely there will be some changes for the second test.
At last!!!!Badri has been waiting for a longtime now, great to see him in the indian squad..I'm absolutely sure that he'll be making his debut against SA.He has been a run machine in the domestic circuit for a number of years.I'm one of his biggest fans,if some u guys don't know how good he has been in First Class cricket, then just check his FC Career..His average is phenomenal in FC cricket.I always rate Badri as the most unlucky cricketer in india,if not the world..His numbers are so impressive. He should have been in the team long back, but its never too late..Hope he brings all his FC experience into test cricket and scores runs this series..If he does that, then he might have a very good chance to retain his place in the squad even if Dravid returns as Yuvraj hasn't been doing too well in the longer format of the game..

This will be the first and last series of Mithun . he will surely be removed after this. Ranji is different from International cricket. Even he coudnt make karnataka win Ranji finals..

"Man", i really pity you. I dont know how much cricket u have played or how much u understand the game.. People like u have spoilt the image of the game. U need to understand that Cricket is a team game n not an individual sport
