If Karthik would be in team, he would have definitely played as batsman. But Karthik ka patta cut & Badri/Vijay both in team. Great move of Shrikant. karthick is scapegoat in this game of Shrikant. Nothing against these two batsman, but this type of backing is harmful to other youngsters. Other players like Chaitanya Pujara & Rohit Sharma & Ajinkya Rahane & Manish Pandey need attention also. Abhimanyu Mithun is good choice. He deserve it.

what is wrong with yuvi and sreesanth. .too delicate to play badrinath has been wasted..toured more played nothing.. better to rope in manish pandey when he's young
India has the best batting line up. No doubt in that. Only Dravids absence is the problem. Yuvi is not good enough for tests. Dinesh Karthik can blame himself as he got enough chances and yet the score some runs. India will play with two spinners - so sreeshant not required. The whole world know about SA's weakness - spin. India will utilize that.
last 5 years, there were over 12-15 one day matches played in gujarath and 4-5 test matches. i am sure someone from BCC lobbying heavily for their state which is totally unfair. why media and other cricket fans are quite on this issue?
even small city nagpur hoist 2-3 one/test match every year.

For all those immature bloggers and biased cricket followers who waste their time typing some rubbish about discrimination in team selection... I think Srikant has done a fairly good job... of ensuring not only representations across the country but also players who have performed well in the domestic circuit.. Example: Badri has been consistently performing well and has been waiting long for a Test call Tyagi, Mithun and Mishra are promising youngsters... Saha is a suprise inclusion.. i thought karthik was doing a decent job. we need to wait and see what he has in store... kaif was given 1000 chances.. i dont remember any player given so many chances... he thought cricket is just fielding once upon a time.. so pls dont crib and cry about your Galli-mates not being selected.. Anybody not in current team - either was given enough chance - or will get chance in future... Jai Hind
